I agree, the decision whether to take a 7th for Garrapolo or just let him hitfree agency will be a tough one.

You sure we can't get a bag of footballs for him like we got for Mallet?

Pfft, hit me on a technicality lady. I love avocado. It's kind of like bacon, if it's involved, it can't be bad. Personal favorite this summer was a tuna ceviche with a heavy hand of avocado...Mmmmm

The creme brulee sounds like an awesome idea as well, you mix that with a (light vanilla)vanilla custard base or just whip the avocado with some cream? Think I'm hosting Christmas dinner this year, that sounds like it could be a possibility (outside of I'd need to buy some dishes for it or make them in shot glasses with something else. But then there are no shot glasses for the bourbon...hmm).

If you like, I can get you the recipe. It was really good and trust me, if my dad cleans his bowl, it's not just for avocado lovers.

That would be much appreciated! Going to be grabbing some to blend up for the little guy soon, I may have to give it a trial run!

Makes one wonder how aggressive TB will be at lowering his salary demands to increase his longevity.

I just hope we never part ways with him. Even if he's just a top 12 guy in his 40s, just ride it out. He will never be average and he will never be trash. Let him stay. It's never been about the money for him, so there's going to be no excuse to cut bait with him ala mankins.

Imagine a top 10 QB playing for close to the minimum for several years? I don't know if he will be that aggressive, but I could see the Pats holding onto him for a long time in a similar scenario.

Avocado is actually a fruit, not a veggie and it makes an awesome dessert. I use it with dark cocoa to make dark chocolate pudding, which is awesome and we also make avocado creme brûlée. My dad was utterly appalled by that until he actually ate it for Thanksgiving dessert. He cleaned his bowl. I don't know about ice cream but I would definitely try it.

A tomato is a fruit as well but I doubt Jerry's will be coming out with a "TOM-atoes Brady" flavor anytime soon.

The only way Brady retires after his current contract expire is: He wins 4 more rings.
I hope he retires in 2018 LOL

I read these 4 pages of Brady "man love" posts before I actually read the article...then I read the article. Being the eternal cynic and believing fluff pieces like this Brady article are written with an agenda in mind, I ask myself who, what, why.
Who benefits from this exposure besides the fandom that slurps this stuff up?.....Brady of course.
What is being accomplished?....A demonstration of commitment while attaching a long term vision of his future
Why? Contract negotiations are open for business. Maybe not in the boardroom yet....but I consider this the opening salvo designed to create a narrative..."Brady has plenty of great years ahead of him" ....and after reading the reactions here to this article, his PR people have done a hell of a job.
I just find it interesting that in a season when Brady's so called "replacement" gets drafted, in a season when a couple of shaky early season performances created apprehension about Brady's future, under a contract that is significantly below market......all of a sudden, one of the most private athletes on the planet has now decided to open up about....his swollen testicles and his one of a kind focus....and......how he can play "forever." Not exactly the humble Tom Brady we've opined about for 14 years.
Listen..........I'm a fan and I'll buy what TB is selling any day of the week......but.....this "look at me" article screams of ulterior motive....and I suspect it is contract driven. That being said...I love reading this kind of "inside the athlete' s world" fluff.
If I could produce my version of Patriots porn....I'd have a camera follow Brady on game day....from the minute he wakes until the lights go out at night. Or better yet....split screen with Brady also wearing a Go Pro camera. Get me a cigarette.

You came to the conclusion of money and went to Brady's contract. Here's what I see: someone who doesn't half-ass anything and wants to be the best at whatever he does. He just opened his first business this year. The money motive isn't about his contract -- it's about his business. He wants it to be a massive success. And what better free advertising can he get than an article in SI about his own experience?

Absolutely. If I were of cynical mind, that's exactly where I'd go. In fact, as soon as he started talking about hidden agendas and money, that's precisely where I went and I was surprised when he didn't.

There was no doubt in my mind that this article was a plug for his business.

I also believe that TB intends on playing at a high level beyond his current deal with the Pats and is 100% committed in doing so.

With that said I truly believe that TB believes in his regimen as it helps him be a better, healthier pro athlete.

Laugh now but when.they cash in that Mallet pick for the next Edelman you will be smiling,

I love the positivity! I wasn't so much mocking the value of the pick, it was more so the idea that our backup quarterbacks are worth first round draft picks.

I have never, understood how anyone could be negative about this franchise in this era. It doesn't get better than this as a sports fan. You have to be really negative to be down on the Patriots imo.

I didn't think you were I was just having fun with it.

I think it's very obvious that Brady is totally committed to the principles that he is practicing. Obsessively committed. To reduce the article to "a plug for his business" does Tom Brady a disservice.

This business doesn't exist because Brady is looking for money, for popularity or for success. (He already has all those.) The business exists because Brady is totally sold on the truth of these principles and wants others to know about them and implement them in their own lives.

I don't disagree that there is a plug for his business - but I don't think it's because it's his business. It's because he wants to educate others and his business is a major way of doing that. It's great when your passion can also make you money.

Game planning for the future.. not a bad idea.

If you believe that something really helps you play better, it probably will.... mind/body thing.
