Thursday Night Football: Arizona Cardinals at St. Louis Rams - odds, stats, preview and pick

I've lived near StL for the last 18 months, and the average sports fans order of fandom goes 1. Cardinals 2. Cardinals 3. Cardinals 4. Blues 5. Cardinals 6. Rams if they are decent. Its a total baseball town, with a semi passion for hockey. And anyone that has been to the Edward Jones Dome can back this up: the place is devoid of any character or charm. It is a depressing place to visit plus the team is usually terrible, so I can't blame the people of this city for not going.

Well that game sucked. It does set up some interesting scenarios; if cards can win one more then they could end up with a first round bye, hell if Detroit manages to win the NFC North then the cardinals could get the 1 seed. I am also getting this sneaking suspicion that philli will miss the playoffs

Reportedly, Stanton sprained his ACL and MCL.

I'm sure it's really simple, but this going over my head right now. Anyone feel like explaining?
From looking at the comments below the tweet, I think Deon was taking a shot at Ted Ginn Jr and how he lacks physicality and avoids contact going out of bounds instead of fighting tackles for extra yards.

Even though the Cardinals' season will end after the first round of the POs at the latest, I'm still glad
that they beat the Lambs. I cannot stand that a-hole Fisher, and maybe this is a bit of karmic payback
for the jerk stunt he pulled last week. Eff him.

Some quotes from Bruce Arians directed at the Rams after the game:

“Everybody wanted to talk all that stuff about how great their defense is. I think they saw a good defense tonight, it was in red and white. We blocked them. I think they had been reading their press clippings way too much.”

“I love it when nobody says you have a chance to win. There is an 11-3 team and a team that is always 8-8. You figure it out.”

11 wins is the best record for a franchise that's been around since 1920??? Good grief!
Yeah, but to be fair for about half of that time the league only played 12 or fewer games.

Still, the NFL did expand the schedule to 16 games way back in the late 70s. You would think that a team would win ¾ of their games at least once in 35+ years, especially in a league where quick turnarounds are common thanks to a real salary cap, free agency, inverse draft order and relatively short playing careers. Bill Bidwill is a notoriously cheap owner, and it is no coincidence that the Cardinals' improvement only happened after he stepped aside and let his sons run the franchise the last few years.

I dunno Bruce, only giving up 12pts is pretty damn good.
