Nate Solder has been god awful!!
He was for the first half. Almost flawless the second half. Solder and Connolly (I think) was gettin owned but solder improved greatly over he game. Hopefully he can continue.

Flawless, really?

I was just rewatching the game. How does the same crew that called Browner for a phantom foul miss the flagrant spearing/ late hit on the Gronk's TD?

Mr. Giant yellow gloves launches himself head first right into Gronk's back, it is at least two steps late, clearly launching himself head first right into Gronk's back.

Skippy's cutsie play-calling in G-T-G situations has to improve. He leaves 4 points on the field as if they're 4 pennies. Against good teams in the POs, those calls will be season-killers.

Watching the game again right now. One thing which is a bit concerning which hasnt changed much since before. Teams when they play press man tight on our WRs, no one except gronk can get enough seperation. Brady's passes sailed over the sidelines so it wouldnt have helped much , but this is something we have seen in the past. Our WR one on one dont get much separation . Hopefulyl it was just this game.

You know what I miss about 2007 the most? The creative formations. The stacks, bunches and trips variations that schemed us into separation with superior receivers. I think we'll need more of it down the stretch. Seeing GB and SD flood and patrol the middle against our O was concerning. The good news is, we've come to expect it. The bad news, or the question is, will we have a plan B?

By all means, we have a variety of capable targets to be creative with our formations in 2014. I love Tim Wright as a 4th option.

Congrats to the Patriots. Now we're on to the Dolphins, so lets go get em. :)

its was a great win that felt like a playoff game great play from the defense, the only thing I would like to see from this team moving forward is a lot more gray in the back field Blount is a feast or famine RB if his not getting a 30 yard run his getting hit in the back field for a loss I think gray should have had at lest 7 of blounts 20 att

Not even close.

Nate Solder was hot garbage against Green Bay and San Diego.
The Patriots had 38 passes against the Packers. How many of them was Solder a major liability on?

You didn't answer my question. Everybody here is aware of what happened on that play. One play in an otherwise fine game does not make a player "hot garbage." Basing an opinion of a player on one play makes an evaluator hot garbage.
Why don't you listen to Greg Bedard's review of the Green Bay Packers game instead of posting asinine questions.

Big picture, the New England Patriots offensive line allowed quarterback pressures on 35% of pass attempts against the Green Bay Packers defense. PATHETIC!

The OL did allow that pressure in that one game. What about Solder is all he is asking. Your replies seem to indicate that you don't know about him specifically. Which is fine. But it's hard to argue when you don't know.

Solder has been good and bad this season, but he is hardly the weak link on our OL. He has come up against some very good pass rushers this season to date and held his own in most games. E.G Denver coming up against Ware and Miller and stoning both.

Is he a top 10 LT? definitely not. But i'd be worrying more about G than he or Vollmer in the draft/FA put it that way.

I watched the freakin' Green Bay Packers game. I watched the freakin' San Diego Chargers game. I don't need ****in' smart ass questions on the performance of the New England Patriots left tackle. If a poster does not understand the concept of backside pressure on a right handed quarterback, the poster in question needs to follow another sport.

What I miss about 2007 is moss. We still have all those formations and all but you need to have players beat it consistently. Like what ATL did today vs GB. We tried the same things with GB last week which didnt work instead of sticking without short passing.
I like Tim Wright but he is not the solution for that.

Yeah, honestly I don't see how anyone could have watched the last two games and not noticed how poor Solder's performance has been. I don't know what they want you to do, chart every individual play? And one decent half doesn't make up for three terrible ones...
