Refs fist bump after Denver touchdown

When you kick the **** out of enough calls throughout the course of the season, celebration when you get one right is natural. If anybody thinks that this is a clear cut sign that the NFL is fixed, you should probably stop watching the sport.

That'll be gif'd up and used every time people want to blame the refs for a loss, or bad call. A high five would have been better, but this will be enough.

Time to get out the tin foil.

I don't think on a league-level the NFL is fixed. That said, if it came out that a few games here and there have officials involved in any sort of gambling or other activities involved in games they officiate, my jaw certainly wouldn't drop to the floor. (I'd be more surprised if they quantified that this has never happened.) The other thing is, it's highly likely some officials are fans of teams just like us. I think anybody that has watched Denver-era Manning play their team has experienced that uneasy feeling one way or the other. I used to blame the high incidence of phantom calls and the like on Polian being part of the competition committee. That really doesn't satisfy the phenomenon anymore.

Was probably just more overt with the fist bump here.

THat being said, I am of the opinion that Pereira's comments on the matter were likewise ludicrous. The worst incident of fan outrage in NFL hsitory??? No, Mike, THAT would be the entire sequence on Eli's miracle escape and horseshoe azz catch by John B Nobody...you know Mike, THE CLEAR GAME CHANGING AROUND THE NECK HOLDING BY THE GIANTS O LINE????????

fuggin' moron............

I think they should also start fist pumping after they make egregious calls. Phantom PI with the game on the line? Fist pump. Terrible spot that costs a 1st? Fist pump. Non-reviewable on a technicality? Fist pump. No call on blatant Broncos pick? Double fist pump.

If any proof of what you're saying ever comes out, that's the last day I watch an NFL game. Never understood how people can be so convinced that a league is fixed and yet keep watching week after week.

I don't have a problem with players celebrating. And I don't have a problem with officials congratulating each other after working together on a call, so long as they got the call right.

Basketball isn't dead and the WWE is still making big coin.

The WWE is a traveling carnival. Basketball has taken a big hit in popularity since Donaghy and since the 90's in particular. I'm personally still not convinced that there's a big cover-up by the NBA and believe, until something else surfaces, that Donaghy may have just been an isolated incident. That said, if something comes out that is substantial with regard to the fix being in there, I'll quit watching the NBA altogether as well.

There is no sports league that's more obviously fixed than the NBA. It's more than just Donaghy, and the league often doesn't even try to hide it. Take a look at how the Commissioner plays games with the officiating crews. Take a look at Stern blocking the Chris Paul trade. Take look at how the Ewing draft went down.

Crooked is far too nice a word to use about the NBA.

I never like to disappoint...

Are you implying WWE fans are not either pre-adolecent or morons? :) (I'm sure the insult carries to NBA fans too.)

I think that had nothing to do with Denver scoring. But I definitely think games are swayed by biased refs. It's human nature even if subconsciously done. And I think Hocka lugy was not unhappy with us getting some of those calls against GB... Booger seems giddy when calls go against us too. And we've had calls go in our benefit as well. .... Thank god I'm not allergic to tin foil.

There are a couple of games every year thst are fixed. If a city goes through some sort of tragedy or devastation, you better believe that their football team will be helped the nxt time they play.

I dont disagree with your premise but how do you explain the attendance at pro wrwstling?
