I wanted to make my own thread just to Salute our Defense. I know other threads spoke highly about how they played in yesterday's Win ,,,but sorry guys ,,,,our Great Defense won us the game yesterday in a very tough place.
Tommy beat me to it by giving them big credit , but i will go further by Saluting them as i did watching it on TV.
Its been a while since we come out of a win and praise the D so much.
So thankyou to all on our Great Defense. I Salute you.
PS how in Gods name did the Titans get rid of Ayers ?!!! just wow.
I can't explain how excited i am about Chandler coming back with what i saw last night. Great win all.
God Bless. GO PATS

A performance comparable to Seattle yesterday:

- 7 points allowed
- 7 points scored called back on a questionable penalty
- 216 total yards
- 53 yards rushing
- 4 sacks, 7 QB hits
- 1 INT
- 4/13 on 3rd down, 0/1 on 4th

Aside from San Diego's one scoring drive, the defense was lights out yesterday. It feels good to watch a game with defensive dominance like that. If the OL protected Brady better, that would have been a slaughter on the road against a good team.

Per Ayers, lately I like to think that other teams have a habit of treating forks as knives. BB has the knack of finding those forks and using them as forks :D

7 points allowed on the road against a very good Chargers team

I love much of this defense but I actually have to pinch myself when I see Revis out there in a Pats jersey.

Against the 6th rated offense and 4th rated passing attack per DVOA... in their house. And 4th rated passing doesn't really do them justice because, at 43%, they are a half dozen away from the top spot and more than double the #10.

If this game does not confirm that they have a super bowl defense I don't know what does.

One of the best defensive performances in a long time.

Heres another way to look at it.
I think its safe to say that you are never going to lose because your defense gave up one TD.
So, aside from the one TD drive, here is what SD did:

11 drives.
8 punts
1 turnover
1 kneel down
1 to on downs

43 plays 151 yards gain, or about 4 plays and 14 yards per drive.
Zero points.
12 rushes for 26 yards.
17-27-151-0TD-1Int
4 sacks
Kennan Allen 2 catches for 3 yards.

I know that we all kick them when they are down so let's now all give them the props they now deserve!!

also important to mention it was on the road

cant be boyer or patricia with this defense. must be BB ;) . Only when they give up 3rd downs and blow coverages its patricia and boyer

Someone would like to offer a personal tribute:
