I didn't know

Belichick fact: He will NOT coach in his 70s the way Marv Levy did. He could not make that more clear. People think he can’t live without football. They’re wrong. He CAN live without football, and he will not coach when he’s in his 70s, and he says you can take that to the bank. Bill Belichick turns 63 in April.

I've been making P&J that way ever since. BB is a genius and has changed this college student's life.

i admire those that excel in their chosen field.. that was a great article

Lol, I loved the Gonzalez story. I saw where it was going immediately.

I never get tired of the Belichick stories.

What he's doing here with the Pats reminds me of the way Chuck Noll built the 70's Steelers. He's doing it piece by piece.

Thanks for the link. That was a fun read.

Good read for a trumpet player stuck in a messiah gig. I immediately wanna put my helmet on and play higher and louder.

Wonder if felger and his pipsqueak sidekick will mention this article....yeah right

The gravitas BB carries among the players is stark. Is there another coach in the league in the last 10 years that a player would say 'I didn't want to disappoint him' to another team's coach?

It's that gravitas that is one of the keys to playing a game like KC but then playing the next 8. Players buy into the BB program. It's one of the keys to see a team through turmoil but always have them right in the thick of it by season's end.

So BB will coach the Patriots no more than 7 seasons. Assuming that's BB plan this, obviously, will run past the retirement of Brady. BB will have the chance to see the Patriots to success in the post Brady era. And if he's able to continue the success post Brady, BB goes from 'possily the best coach of the modern era' to 'the best coach of the modern era...... and possibly the best coach of all time'.

...Nice.
....

what to say ? I M P R E S S I V E
what a charisma he has...what a temperament...what attention to the detail...

Great Piece.. I suspect that BB will coach a couple of years after Brady retires, just to show how he can win without him..

Always envisioned him to wind up with close to 270(total regular and post season) wins, the same as Tom Landry..which will leave him at #3 or #4 all time...

Currently he is at 227 wins... which puts him at #5...

Great article, I honestly didn't want it to end..

I hope when its all said and done ( years from now) There's a tell all book in the works about his career.

I just sent it to them.
You will be called a BB homer by those 2 and they will just use this article to point out all the -ve things people have said too about him and sweeping call all pats fans . :)
