I hope Austin Collie's been keeping in shape...

He might be getting a call sometime next week.

Austin Collie is sitting in a corner somewhere muttering to himself. 8 too many hits to the head

He should have been IR'ed after the stress fracture last year, but we were desperate for anything besides the Pygmy Brigade after Gronk got hurt and we wasted a year of Dobson's career as a result. I think he'll come back strong.

Why is everyone calling him a bust? Did he not do enough his rookie year to prove that he's A) willing to put in the time and B) has the physical skills to be at very least a good NFL receiver? God, this place is so miserable sometimes. Its a wonder the team isn't booed every time they take the field.

And this statement simply defies any logic whatsoever. The "chasing the shiny hood ornament metaphor seems like an excellent one to me.
Edelman and LaFell are all we have to count on next year.

You want to go forward with Dobson, Boyce, Tyms and DA after those two ? No thanks, they at least need competition.

People get some sort of gratification out of calling players busts. I've seen it declared on rookies and others before we broke training camp.

Also people love to castigate anyone that gets injured in a sport where there's a page of injured players published every week.

I don't for the life of me know why, and it's not all people, but if it sounds like you (in general), then you are one of those people.

My only source of frustration is watching the production of Keenan Allen (as I really, really wanted the Patriots to draft him). That said, I don't blame the Patriots for the Dobson pick. He's big, fast and has a highlight reel that compares with the best of them.

I am not going to be down on Dobson because he's been mismanaged from go to woe with his foot. Fingers crossed next season is his coming out party. We'll know if he's a bust around this time next season.

Can we never draft a player named Aaron again. As for avoiding positions in draft, let's add CB to WR.

He broke a bone in his foot. That's a very unpredictable and hard to heal injury, ask Bill Walton.

We'll have competition at WR lie we always do and we start out a lot better with Gronk Wright, Lafell and Edelman than many seasons IMO. Dobson should be healthy and competitive.

I'm well aware. I've seen navicular stress fractures end promising careers.

Hell, yes--the team needs to address the position of WR in the offseason, whether that's through the draft or free agency.

That goes without saying, and certainly isn't "chasing a shiny hood ornament." It's addressing a position of weakness.

All they really have is LaFell and Edelman (whether or not Amendola stays is irrelevant to many). Imagine if one of those players became injured, not to mention the fact that you need adequate depth behind them, even if they're healthy.

I'm absolutely shocked that anyone would think otherwise, and that's not even taking into account the fact that we'll likely see at least one, if not two of those options gone by the end of camp--if not sooner.

I will pray for his fast and speedy recovery.

On the other hand, Green Bay didn't do too badly drafting an Aaron.

There have been several references to "maybe he injured the hamstring because he is still favoring the foot that was repaired nine months ago."
Maybe. I guess that's possible.
But he hasn't been on the injury report as Limited - Foot - Questionable. He's been officially a healthy scratch.
I am concerned that he injured the hamstring so quickly. Maybe it's the lingering impact of foot surgery. But he was sure given plenty of time to overcome that, and it didn't seem to be a problem in September. Maybe he just wasn't in football shape, and he sure should have been. If not running on Sundays, this guy should have been staying after practice to sprint and catch passes and run routes.

Let's see Boyce or pick up Stephen Hill I just would love to see the Patriots fix him now the fact he can't get on the field in Carolina is telling but let's see if Josh is as good a coach as some think he is would be a great story.

If either Lafell or edleman goes down were screwed. We literally don't have a 3 or 4 WR on the roster that you can trust. Thank god for the suprising play from Lafell this season
