Hightower and Chung injuries (apologies if this has already been addressed!)

Not to worry, I understand that Belichick is going to hold a Presser later today with a detailed report on both, including X-rays, MRI's and CAT scans as well as the complete transcript of the physicians' reports.

Everyone except Dobson and C. White practiced

Agree on Hightower and his progression this year...

Hightower is listed with shoulder issues and Edelman with thigh issues... as this team enters week 14 suspect that most teams have a lot of guys injured.

I don't mean to single you out, so please don't take it that way. This is a general statement:

Guys, it's time to retire this joke. The first 800... maybe 801 times it was made it was funny. I'll admit, I think I've made it myself at times as well. But we get it. Belichick doesn't give out injury information. But every time someone makes a thread looking for tidbits like practice reports, rumors, etc, someone always has to make the sarcastic "I'm sure Bill will let us all know at 4pm today what's going on" comment. It's done. Put it to bed.

Okay, rant over.

So back-up Offensive Tackle Cameron Flemming is ready? If so that would keep Marcus Cannon on the bench where he belong.

That does not make me happy at all.

Curran even used the term "favoring his right side heavily." I think that Hightower has clearly stepped up into a player that we can't afford to lose, which was not the case prior to this season (IMO). His progression has been quite impressive, to say the least.

Hightower appears to have progressed to the point where he is likely more indispensable than Mayo.

Depending on Hightower's , Jones' and Easley's physical health, we could see heavy doses of Jonathan Casillas in this game, and of Akeem Ayers at LB instead of at DE. That would be a new twist. It will be interesting to see how BB juggles all the moving parts in his front 7.

I agree - from a standpoint of value over would-be replacement, Hightower might be 4 right now behind the big 3.

Not saying he's the 4th best player on the team (though, this year, maybe he is?), but he's the 4th most indispensable by my count.

Oh, you're no fun!
I guess I can't say "We're on to San Diego" or "It is what it is" or "Big games come down to the team that makes a play" anymore either.
Well, feel free to ignore me.
We are on to San Diego. Big games do come down to big plays. And, it is what it is.
So, there!
:p
And, I almost forgot, Belichick is still ridiculously, humorously and delightfully laconic when it comes to talking about injuries.

Fun is for losers!

Kidding, but seriously, it's one thing to quote an iconic BB line (and I actually believe those things too), but the "I'm sure BB will tell us EVERYTHING" sarcasm joke is like asking your dad if he's alright and EVERY... TIME... he responds with, "No, I'm half left, BAHAHAHAHA!" Sooner or later, it just gets old ;)

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
Go Pats!

He played four snaps.

Those were some quiet four snaps then. I only saw him once being targeted. Incomplete. Not sure why we kept him and dumped Thompkins. Not that Kenbrell is the next Jerry Rice or anything, but good Lord, he was more productive than Dobson.

I think it's simply the raw talent/size alone, which clearly made Dobson a 2nd round pick. In comparison of course, Thompkins was an UDFA who was also 3 inches shorter.

Attempting to judge either one of them last season was a futile effort, due to the horrible lack of receiving options we had pre and post Gronkowski injuries. It's really remarkable what an incredible job that Brady did with such little talent.

Dobson showed a glimspe here and there, but I believe it's been heavily overstated by those who had hoped for him to break out in year two. Thompkins was nothing more than a warm body who can't even get on the field with the Oakland Raiders.

Looks like Hightower is probably going to miss the game.

Can you expound upon why that is? I haven't yet seen any practice reports from today.
