NFL.com Facebook page has gotten far beyond ridiculous with this stuff "He went out there and made everything come to life." They STILL LOST 26-10. That's like if the headline had been after the Chiefs game "Aladdin saves the day for Pats with last second touchdown." I don't think I can take it if this kid actually plays and turns out to be good...I mean at least when they went nuts about Tebow he was not only playing but actually winning games lol.

Especially because his deep pass that got them downfield was the same kind of throw that all of their receivers dropped multiple times when Hoyer was in. It is amazing how much bad luck Hoyer has with dropped passes or receivers running wrong routes.

I get the feeling that this entire situation will take the classic Browns turn where they let Hoyer walk in FA and make Manziel the starting QB next year. And of course Hoyer will be successful somewhere else and Manziel will totally fall apart.

the article doesnt factor in that the refs completely botched johnny footballs fumble into the endzone resulting in a defensive touchdown

I seriously doubt that there was ever any risk of the Patriots drafting Manzeil. Somehow, I just don't see Belichick giving a high grade to an alcoholic QB.

I will say Manziel looked good this past Sunday. It was in a blow out loss and late in the game however so I do not put a ton of stock in performances that occur during those situations.

I feel bad for Hoyer he has led that team to the best record in nearly 20 years and they benched him in the 12th game of the season.

Wait until DC's have a chance to gameplan against him. Keep him in the pocket, take away his primary read, watch panic ensue. This kid is going to bust and bust hard.

Manziel will have some success in the NFL, but he'll wind up getting injured like all these guys who think run first. Current crop: RG3, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick. All of them are declining as very young players after spectacular starts to their careers.

Cam Newton is quite literally being ****ed over by Carolina. No offensive line, one 1 receiver worth a damn and playing injured and you have the current Carolina Panthers.

It wouldn't have taken much for the kid to take a real good hit on his TD run.

You're 100% right. It's only a matter of time for him.

Another 'I dont like Johnny Manziel' thread??

I don't disagree. At the very least he is a very hard person to root for.

He used to have Steve smith and Brandon lafell and still wasn't that great. I don't know if he will ever take the next step

Yes. I don't recall too many others, but maybe that was during the offseason when I wasn't really checking here. But I guess there have been if you say that.

There's probably a reason for that. I can't remember a more unlikable "rising star" so ridiculously hyped before this guy came along. He is just the absolute epitome of the overly pampered spoiled entitled immature college hotshot who thinks he's invincible.

Wait until Jameis Winston gets drafted. He makes Manziel look level-headed and conservative.

You make it sound like there was ever a chance he'd come here...

<insert Come On Man gif here>

This is why BB isn't enamored of the overly-mobile QB, especially the smaller kind. He's OK with them taking off on occasion, but he doesn't want one that's going to run 10–15 or more snaps a game.
