Talk all the trash you want, I care not. I'm from Portsmouth,NH. The last time I attenended a Patriot game was Dec . 27, 1992. Game time temp was 16*. Aluminum bleachers. Section 314. Waked in withouth being searched. I was so bundled up they never even looked at me. No one patted me down. If you were a terrorist and wanted to blow up Foxboro Stadium no-one would have gave a **** unless Dan Marino died. Me and my buddy and his 13-year younger brother witnessed the death of the old regime live.

I think to myself that was true justice. Why do I include Scott Zolak? He was the starting QB that day. That's how bad we sucked. We were 2-13 going into the game. He got knocked out and we went to this guy.

Does anyone remember this guy? If you say yes your full of ****.

The name is familiar - and yes, my memory IS that good - but that's it.

Seems to me Zo was fated to be a Patriot...

Do not remember the non_Zo QB

The last NE QB to throw a pass before we drafted Bledsoe. Top of your head, anyone? You'll need to look it up. I was there and when I looked it up I went, "Oh, Christ, that's right".

Off the top of my head, Tommy Hodson?

Wow- I did the same thing. This thread has also brought back memories of Michael Bishop for me. Our recent history got muddled in my head and I had him here before Bledsoe which was WAY wrong. LOL After reading, I distinctly remember being one of the people wanting Bishop to start. Pretty sure that's why I got angry about Brady a couple years later because I thought, "if not Bishop, why this kid?"

Yeesh A QB scout I am not.

Interesting thread turn. Good memories of bad to mediocre teams.

jeezus...Hugh Millen....your SISTER could throw a ball harder...and we had this guy named Bill Bleier or Bob or somebody came in for a couple of games in 87...even Flutie started a game. I'm getting a headache

Bleier was the scab QB.
Millen at least made a crappy team fun to watch for about a month.
I saw Flutie start in Buffalo. Close game but on the last play Flutie was scrambling around to throw a Hail Mary and Bruce Smith literally engulfed him. I expected Flutie to get up looking like Super Dave Osborn.

Sadly enough, I actually do remember this guy and this game. Stunningly this game was on TV - meaning stadium sold out - probably because it was a Dolphin game. The specific reason I remember Carlson is because since I started following the Pats (1985 bandwagon jumper as a 9 year old....), he was the only lefty QB I remember the Pats having, and so I thought it was cool that I actually got to see a lefty Pats QB. Thankfully Tebow didn't make it out of training camp so I still haven't seen it since.....

Yeah and there was another Carlson at the time playing QB. Cody maybe?

I actually remember 1992 as a good year. We beat Indy and the Jets! The Indy win kept them out of the playoffs!

I began watching football in 1994. My first game I watched was the Patriots 17-16 win over GreenBay in Foxboro. Then after getting embarrased at home against Miami 23-3, Patriots scored one of the greatest regular season wins in franchise history 26-20 in OT against Minnesota. It sparked a 7 game win streak, and turned the franchise into a playoff contender. That 13-3 win @ Chicago in the regular season finale was an amazing game to watch, because Bears Fans erupted after the loss. Threatened to kick the ****e out of any fan with a Patriots jersey. My Cousins said they were lucky to make it out of the stadium alive.

In 1994 Patriots went 4-0 against NFC North. All 4 teams made the playoffs in the NFC.

I STILL haven't given up on Michael Bishop.

Never heard of him, but I'm sure I watched the game. I watched so many totally crappy Patriots games, I still cannot believe what this franchise has become.

Let me say a few things. First, I am PHS class of 1976. You?
Second, I flunked your trivia questions, but can you name me the New Hampshire clan that had two brothers, one of whom played in the NFL and the other in the NBA? Any self-respecting Portsmouth New Hampshire sports fan from the era of the 1970s should be able to answer that one.

My bet is, even Joker doesn't know that one.

Finally, Full confession ....I always kinda liked Michael Bishop. I remember thinking he never got a fair shot.
