Cannon did play well for Vollmer during injury last year.
This year he played terribly at guard, terribly at rotational OT, and terribly at blocking TE.
The penalty was ridiculous.
The rotation the Patriots have pursued at OL has been interesting - we've seldom seen teams do this. From what we see it's not working - Pats are taking better performers off the field. Maybe it is designed to reduce risk of injury or improve the back-ups in case they are needed later in the season, and it's harder to evaluate the upside.
But I agree - Cannon has played himself out of consideration for 2015.
I disagree that I would rather see Devey. Cannon has been bad. I think Devey has been worse.
Just waiting for Fleming to return.

Cannon is at most a 2nd tier lineman. He is not very fast when pass rush comes.

I agree. I would even go further and say use him as an emergency G. I think he is too much of a liability at the tackle position, and is better suited for G. It's good to know we have young talented O lineman we can rely on for the future(Stork and Fleming).

I agree with your list. However, I would note that isn't bad when your list of most disappointing consists of six backups.

Personally, I'm impressed that all our starters are playing well.

To put it another way, you rightly complain about our backup WR's and Cannon (I'd add Tyms to your list). The rest of the offense is playing pretty well indeed.

Similarly on defense, even with our backup defensive backs not producing much (I'm not sure everyone would even agree with this), we have one of the best secondaries in the NFL. Our five starters (including the nickel) are playing great!

Marcus Cannon absolutely sucks at offensive guard. Jordan Devey absolutely sucks at offensive guard. Josh Kline could be salvaged but I won't hold me breath.

I don't think anyone was ever expecting anything out of Tavon enough to be disappointing. When he came out of his mothers womb she looked down and was all like "Meh".
