stadium was already pretty quiet...only going to get worse...

I agree with just about everyone on this - terrible idea. I've yet to find someone that doesn't get paid by the Kraft family explain to me why this is a good idea.

And....I honestly think this is a terrible business decision. I understand and fully support expanding the lighthouse bridge and expanding the "party deck" out that way. Makes complete sense. I also understand, but don't completely agree with, the amount of Putnam club seats. The Putnam club is a great way for rich people to do rich people things. But - what non-Putnam club member would want to buy this "membership"?
A. It's ridiculously expensive (I love how you have to buy two "membership" passes).
B. The majority of season ticket holders are not the fair weather type. Unless your up in top rows of the 300's, why would you want to leave YOUR seats? (plus, chances are if your in the 300s, you wont be able to foot the bill for the "membership").

Just unreal that the Krafts can be this tone deaf.

This seems like the kind of thing I'd buy while hammered.

So I guess I'll buy it a few times this week.

I actually agree with your post very much but I am in the upper 300s and I can afford this if I want to. The only reason I'm saying that is because I can't be that rare.

Will they be serving whine and cheese down there? Wouldn't mind being a visiting offense backed up in that endzone.

If I understand it correctly, the attendees will be producing their own.

No, they don't. They could improve parking and make it cheaper. They could put in better seating. They could lower prices across the board. Those are all perfectly valid avenues to be explored, and there are plenty of others.

The problem is that none of them would make the team more money, and Kraft is about the money as much as any owner in the NFL.

What world do you live in? Why should Kraft slash prices he has a waiting list a decade long. People will buy this and it will put some more money in his pocket how evil of him.

I don't like the corporate atmosphere at Gillette any more than you just being realistic.

I live in the world where I was pointing out the problem with your claim, while acknowledging what you just posted.

As to whether or not it's evil, I'll leave that for religious threads.

Nobody ever said football is the root of all evil.

Money grab lounge..... love of money....

Seems as if it might just be covered.

But, again, that's for another forum.

Any news on the long talked about 400 level? If they built that along with this goofy club thing, it might not be so bad.

And who the hell would want to watch the game from field level end zone? I watched Pats/Jets 2011 from row 11 in the EZ and hated it...no good view of what's going on.

Build an entire bowl now that they have this stupid thing going up...would fill it no problem

He'll they could hand out stacks of $100 bills to everyone as they leave the stadium until all of the profits are gone.
Oh wait, they are a business and there purpose in existing is to make money not give things away for less than people are standing in line to pay.
Nevermind.

I wonder if they will be guaranteed superbowl tickets, like the club seat season ticket holders?

Say what you want about the Sullivans, but they gave every season ticket holder in 1985 superbowl
tickets.

I know this is not possible today, but the "Ordinary Joe", like myself who has had tickets for 25+
years has no chance of ever getting Superbowl tickets.

Kraft give all the club seat season ticket holders superbowl tickets, and all the vendors get their
share of tickets.

When it comes to the blue seat season ticket holders you probably have 45,000+ season ticket holders in a rigged lottery for enough tickets for all the winners to go to a the game together in a short bus.

This blind, unabashed homer who believes in all things Kraft/Belichick thinks this idea is stupid...

Leave these seats alone.. give everyone a chance at access.

Not every business seeks to maximize profits. The Krafts own one the richest franchises in the NFL. They don't need the money. They are prioritizing additional profits ahead of the enjoyment of more ordinary fans. They have every right to do so. We have every right to criticize their pecuniary selfishness.

Removing 1,500 seats ought to help with the pesky problem of excessive crowd noise when the visiting team has the ball.

They should add a section between 143 and 101 while still having tunnel access. All that open space there still baffles me.

That's the point. Watching the game from this "lounge" will be secondary to chatting, eating, drinking and fiddling with smartphones. All for the displacement of REAL fans who would be glued to their seats cheering and yelling.

I think I'll write a letter to the Krafts expressing my displeasure. Not that it'll do any good or make any difference, but we should make our voices heard regarding all the voices being silenced by this crap.

The whole thing seems geared to people who don't care to watch the game anyways.
