Ah well, as least it's not Manning.
I would add J.J Watt to that list. The MVP will be settled over the next four weeks. Unless something dramatically unexpected happens, if it isn't Brady or Rodgers I'll suggest that we should "follow the money," as the process will have to have been rigged.
If we're being realistic, it's pretty much the Most Valuable QB and sometimes RB Player award, and Watt has no chance unfortunately.
Watt has been historically good the past few years, and is on a tear this season without any help from Clowney so I wouldn't be surprised to see his production go up if the rookie ever plays consistently. But the Texans don't look like they'll make the play-offs and I don't think Watt will get anywhere near the votes because of that.
Deserving candidate for sure, but realistically, it's a QB's world in MVP voting.
Jadeveon Clowney's rookie season is over.
After meeting with renowned orthopedic surgeon James Andrews on Wednesday, it was determined that Clowney needs a second surgery on his right knee, Texans coach Bill O'Brien said Thursday. The Texans will place Clowney on season-ending injured reserve.
I think that Rodgers and Watt are pretty much even at this point, with Brady a fairly clear 3rd, and Manning a distant 4th.
As others have said, the next four weeks will determine it, of course. There is plenty of time left for any of the 4 to state their case. I also think an outsider still has time to throw their hat in the ring with strong performances down the stretch.

Have to agree with this. Apart from Brady, I'm rooting for Watt because I'd like to see a non-QB win it. He would be, what, the second non-QB/RB to win it ever (I think LT won once).
Given the season Watt is having, I don't believe it is clearly Rodgers at all. Further to the point, I simply want to see a defensive player win it. I'm sick of it being guys on O.Its clearly Rodgers now and its not even a debate.
