They couldn't touch Eli in 2007 or 2011 and that will be the case if they make it in 2014. Even if Chandler comes back 100% is it enough to get over the hump? How many more years is there going to be a sub par pass rush at key times?

It's all well and good getting to crap QB's like Geno and EJ Manuel but our pass rush doesn't work against the ones with pocket presence, mobility and awareness.

When it mattered most Brady needed just a bit more time (just like in the 2 SB losses) but they got to him and when we needed to get to Rodgers on that completion to Cobb, surprise, surprise we COULDN'T.

That pressure Seattle put on Peyton was LETHAL and it is pretty much how you beat an elite QB in a SB and that's what the Pats should be aiming for.

I Hear Ya! Hopefully if we do meet GB again SB we will have a healthy Chandler Jones and was greatly missed today.

Our pass rush was disturbingly bad. Hopefully Jones will change that but if not, not sure what's going to happen

Yeah when Rodgers is standing in the pocket like a statue then the comparison with the pressure on Peyton in the SB would even start making sense.

It's like you people complaining about the lack of pressure didn't watch the 2nd half or something. We held them to 3 because we started focusing on containing Rodgers and it worked.

No that was just good secondary play, we saw one one play where literally the longest amount of time a QB has had to throw in NFL history and the back end held up enough to get the stop not the pass rush.

Pats are a better team.
The play calling was horrendous. Brady made some piss poor decisions.
Why go for the td with 3.50 left in the game on 2nd and 9.
Gronk HAD IT, he just got unlucky when he hit the ground and probably interfered and that's why we didn't win it

Pretty sure the Pats had 3 sacks today to 1 for GB, Negative Nellie.

Like i say, all sacks when they don't count that much just like in the SB's where they can't get to the crap Manning from completing long bombs.

The sack that mattered the most is the one GB got on Brady at the end, the one we couldn't get was the one we needed for the ball back to possibly win it

Agreed. Offense just couldn't finish the job in the second half.

Of course they counted. For all you know, GB might have had more than a one score lead at the end without them. I suppose Iapatsfan will be back now too.

I think the Pats got a raw deal on reffing and a few unlucky bounces, but the Pack moved the ball at will. Could've been worse without a missed field goal and that WR letting a perfect pass bounce off his hands on the goal line.

Anyone have any doubt that GB get into field goal range (or further) if Gronk does make that td catch?

Still doesn't mean much in the grand scheme. The defense has been good against good offenses all season. Sometimes, a good offense is productive at home.

Right or wrong, the Pats were playing contain for most of the game. The goal of the pass rush was to keep Rodgers in the pocket, not go all out to get him.

The Pats did a very good job pressuring Manning and Luck this year. Because that was the game plan. Today's game plan was to keep Rodgers from running out of the pocket and killing the Pats that way. They didn't do a great job of that in the first half, but that was the strategy.

That TD before the half killed us, i didn't like our coverage, i'm thinking the worst that could happen is a field goal we may have been too aggressive with man to man on that play and got burn badly. In the 4th even if gronk made that TD catch is still think Rodgers march right down the field and score with ease. If we play the packs again the best game plan is keep away, with a lot of running game, i like the way Blount punished their D.

I feel like I'm watching a movie that I've seen before a thousand times, and never liked much to begin with.
