Thanksgiving Day NFL Games

So dumb that they're playing again in two weeks. should be 4 games minimum. takes a lot of the fun out of divisional games clumping them together.
To me, the perfect schedule under this idiotic 4 team division setup would be to have the non-conference games at the beginning and the conference and division games the rest of the way. I hate seeing division games at the very beginning.

I thought there would be two good games and a bad game with Detroit/Chicago (which turned out to be the most interesting of the 3 for a stretch). They all stunk.

The Seattle defense looks good, but give credit for some of that result to the Niners offense coming off a short week. Kaepernick threw a nice back shoulder fade to Sherman that looked to be way off target. The Niners won close, low scoring games with the Skins and Giants, neither of which are NFL world beaters, somehow with an offense stocked with number 1 receivers from other teams, Gore and Davis. The Niners just look inept on offense. There were plenty of open receivers for the Niners. Missed opportunity after missed opportunity.

I'm not a Roman fan myself, but his offense is clearly too complex for Kaepernick. A guy like Kaerp needs to be in the gun for 90% of the game, where he can make quick, simple completions, while still functioning as a running threat. San Francisco is not using him correctly.

The greatest QB in the history of the game isn't looking like it right now.;)

Here's what I think is the problem, for Kaepernick and many of the other running QBs. The NCAA figured out a long time ago that they could make more money and win more with running QBs, and abandoned the idea of being a developmental league for the NFL and are developing less passers.

I will say this, Russell Wilson is a likable guy. I honestly don't mind seeing him have success.

His only problem is that he's too white for some people.

I think it's only a matter of time that he gets injured. As quick and as nifty as he is, if he keeps running, even just to get out of bounds, some NFL head hunter will take him out.

jesus ****ing christ 2 seconds left and the refs throw a flag.

That was probably payback for the late challenge. :)

I agree. However, if they end up a wild card and have to go on the road it will be a lot harder for them to make a return to the SB.

Eh, I'm taking the last two weeks with a grain of salt. SF and Arizona without Carson Palmer aren't good enough to challenge Seattle's defense. I still think Seattle has major issues on offense, aside from Marshasn Lynch, and their DL can get exposed. Jeremy Hill does seem to be stepping up, though.

Then again, the NFC is a mess so who can really get in Seattle's way? Green Bay and maybe Philly?

Watching Cutler last night shows how great Brady is. Cutler was actually having a pretty good game dinking and dunking, slowly chipping away at the score. Then suddenly he lost all patience and threw a deep interception. The game was sealed from that point on. Brady would have stayed the course instead. Sometimes it is about the balls you don't throw instead of the ones you do.

Also, the Bears secondary is still ridiculously bad. I don't think they covered the seams once. If I was a Bear fan I would have wanted Kyle Fuller's head. He seemed to never adjust.

Cowboys losing was entertaining for me. This was a reminder for everyone that the Cowboys don't shine in prime time.

The 49ers were more bad offense instead of great Seahawks defense. I enjoyed every game but this one.

The NFC West will probably end up with the winner getting a #1/2 seed and the 2nd place team getting the #5 seed, so their 1st road game would be against the NFC South winner. That seems like a gimme. As for the rest:

- Dallas - may not make the playoffs, and I can't see them playing at a level to do a repeat of what they did earlier this season, especially against a Seattle team that would be motivated for payback.
- Detroit - tough defense for Seattle, but I can't see them being tough enough to win this one.
- Arizona - not enough firepower without Carson Palmer.

I think it's probably a 3 team SB race between Seattle, GB and Philly. And I like Seattle's chances in that race.

It didn't look that dominate vs KC.

They haven't given up a TD in 2 games, but those games happened to be against Arizona and SF, 2 anemic offenses...

They're still Overal 4th in scoring, 1st in overall yards, 2nd In Passing yards, and 5th in rush defense.

Defense travels in the PS

What would be epic is if New Orleans makes the post season with a losing record and upsets Seattle. LOL

@ Eagles (Sanchez)
49ers (Kaepernick)
@ Cardinals (Stanton)
Rams (Hill)

The Seahawks have a huge QB advantage in their last 4 games and their defense looks like it is coming back to elite form. I don't see them losing any of those games. That would most likely land them the #1 seed and end the NFC race.

It's too early, but Brady may get his crack at the legion of boom.

I have this weird feeling that we are witnessing the 03 season again. Broncos and Chiefs gets knocked out by Indy. Indy gets knocked out by us then we beat the Panthers in the superbowl.

That is because KC has a great running game and a solid enough defense.

The way to beat Seattle is to run the ball well on them, look at their losses the past 3 years, very few QBs have beaten Seattle, its almost always the running backs who beat them.

In the past 3 seasons:

Manning is 0-2
Rodgers is 0-2
Brees is 0-2
Brady is 0-1

That defense is built to stop the pass, the way you beat Seattle is you run the ball on them and control the clock. Try to beat them with the pass and you'll lose. Their secondary is simply too good and their pass rush just causes so many disruptions.

In the past Seattle has used a 5 man "bear" front against the run-heavy 49ers, who they limited to 64 yards rushing yesterday. I'll be curious to see the replay (I was traveling during the game) to see how much of that they used yesterday. In the event of a hypothetical matchup against the Pats, I think they would struggle to stop both the run and the pass. Go to a 2 TE set and use Cameron Fleming in overload packages, with a heft dose of Blount and Gray.

Bobby Wagner is back and did not play in the chiefs game.He is very important to their defense ,and the chiefs game was chancellor's first game back. The Arizona game was the first game with everyone back.

Hard to disagree with you, but all of those games vs Manning, Rodgers, Brady and Brees were played in Seattle with the exception of the Super Bowl.
