PatsFans FF League?

Didn't even notice this but that's unfortunate. Giving up on a league is kind of a slap in the face to others in it, in my opinion.

It takes 2 min to set your line up if you are that busy...

Haven't been on the board in a while and my team is really sucking it up but can you believe this luck it's insane!!

Im still giving it 90% at 1 and 8.

Helps when Lynch has 40 point games.. :)

mike evans has been killing it for me!

Glad he's turning out to be a solid NFL WR. I liked him at A&M.

My team has gone in the tank. Now dropped 3 straight. Need to get it turned around soon here to get into the playoffs. Heisenberg will not go down without a fight!

Hey all,

Sorry I haven't been posting in here at all. I just finished up the busiest 2 months of my life, which saw me work full time, complete part of a professional designation program, and buy a house.

I'm in 3 leagues and tried my best to make sure I participated each week, adding/dropping players and of course setting my lineup because it wouldn't have been fair to take a league spot away from someone else who wanted it. I think one week however I made a note of who I wanted to start but was waiting to see who I got off waivers. Unfortunately I just plain forgot to follow up as I was in workshops all weekend.

I apologize for that, because I agree it sucks when people stop caring about a league - one of the other ones I'm in has only about 50% activity at this point, which really takes the fun out of it. Just wanted you all to know it was an honest mistake and not me quitting on the league.

And you're right @PatsChamp88 , my team was absolutely terrible, just atrocious at the start of the year. I got super lucky that a lot of other people had really bad weeks against me. At least my past few performances and point total are a *little* less embarassing given where I was. And you've been on quite the move since!

Holy ****, my team is bad this year. @Danger Zone is somehow even worse than I am.

I know Ive said/made the excuse three or four times now that this was my first and only FF league ever :D

And on top of that.. I had 3 Autodraft picks, 2 of which were just unplayable.

I knew Andre Johnson and Fitzgerald werent elite stud WRs when I drafted them but I did think they were going to be very consistent for me -which they have been at least in how few points they get me each week because I guess BOTH of their teams decided to turn them into grossly overpaid decoys starting from week 1.

If I had given up on those two earlier I'd probably be in the mix.

Guys...so i want some opinions. Payouts. Thinking top 2

I was thinking 175 for 1st...65 for 2nd?

Let me know what you guys think!

just to let you guys know. It was brought to my attention last night that the playoffs are NOT top 2 in each division. It's Div winners then basically 2 WC teams.

I tried to change it but it won't let me. Looks like it's just the way ESPN is.

Sorry for any misunderstanding

Not a problem since I'm the likely beneficiary but changing the settings at this point in the season to take one team out of the playoffs and put another in would be a huge issue in most leagues.

Question - It was never specified but are FA/ waivers acquisitions allowed for non playoff teams? Shied away from picking up Wilson last week because I wasn't sure if I was in the playoffs, tried to put in a waiver claim yesterday when I realized I was in but he got claimed by a non playoff team this morning.

It was a nice surprise to see that I was in but being tied for the third best record and outscoring the team I was tied with by 150+ points, it would have been tough to not make it. The other leagues I play in (one is mine) have one division with points for being the tiebreaker.

Can't believe I played myself out of the playoffs. I will do everything I can to win that consolation bracket! Have to beat @Crononaut for the third time this year and second time in two weeks.

Yeah it kinda sucked (for me) how it worked out but it's not like the rules were intentionally changed or BradytoMoss has any ability to change them, just a misunderstanding! I rode the horseshoe as far as it would take me.

Hah! In your dreams!

....and likely Monday evening as well. Hey, at least I kept it competitive in our last round!

That was a good matchup. Picking up that Jaguars defense made all the difference for me.

I'm sorry, I thought people were complaining that the losers "werent trying hard enough".

And have we suddenly hit the playoffs? Or should I have just said **** it all however many weeks ago when it was clearly obvious I wasnt going to end up top 4?

Forgive me for finally trying to make each week just slightly competitive.

Yes, actually we have suddenly hit the playoffs and in my opinion, (and generally the rule in the leagues I've played in) a 2-11 team not in the playoffs shouldn't be plucking the top starting QB off of the waiver wire during the playoffs. There's some money at stake.

You should field a competitive team and set your lineup during the FF regular season even when it's obvious you're not going to make the playoffs because that's the minimum of what's asked of you when you joined, you quitting mid season or having 3 inactive players in your lineup would affect the other members of the league getting into or missing the playoffs. I've already booted someone in my league who stopped setting his lineup around week 8.

I had a chance to claim Wilson off waivers last week but didn't because at the time I didn't think I was in the playoffs and it wouldn't be fair of me to do so. BTM never addressed whether or not it is allowed, so it can be assumed that it is but even if it is, should you? Consolation rounds don't even count towards your team's record and IMO it's not the time to try and improve your team.

Not a personal shot at you, I just think teams out of the playoffs shouldn't be making moves at this point. I'd feel the same way whether I made the playoffs or not. Doesn't matter now anyway, too late to do anything about it.
