The jest snuck up on baltimore in 69 like the pats snuck up on st louis in 01. that being said where were the jest in the 70's 80's 90's? while the pats were up and down the jest pretty much flat lined until parcells took over in the 2000's

As a Canadian I do not celebrate the American Thanksgiving (we have Thanksgiving in October), but we were given a present a few years back which will enable everyone world wide to celebrate this anniversary and have a laugh on this special day. I just came across another asinine post from Tunescribe, as I was reading this thread signed out from my phone. @Tunescribe, give it up. Other than you and Desus no one here has yet called me a troll, and I'll put this as nicely as I can, do you not have something better to do? If I'm a "troll" why do you continue to bicker about me? Would it not be wise to ignore a troll, since trolls seek attention? Why won't you put me on ignore? I politely asked you several times to engage into a football discussion witn me. Instead, you continued to attack me, for reasons I still do not understand. Once again just give it up, you have to be the WORST , feebleminded poster I've seen on any messageboard I've visited.

Its avowed (look the word up) purpose is to ridicule the putrid, despicable Jets franchise. You have been told repeatedly that discussing football per se (again consult a dictionary) is on any other thread in the main forum. NOT HERE!!!!

The Jets have sucked as much in the past 16 years as they sucked prior to that. They have sucked since the moment of their creation.

In fact, it's quite possible that they sucked before they even came into being. Einstein was reportedly working on this question up until his death.

* You never once asked me to engage in football discussions with you, politely or otherwise.
* You say you're putting this "as nicely as I can," "I still do not understand," etc., then proceed to attack me as the "worst, feebleminded (sic)" poster you ever have seen. That's just being dishonestly dopey.
* If you need examples of your trolling to clearly understand what a troll is, check out post No. 2398.
* When all else fails and you remain hopelessly confused, READ THE DAMN THREAD TITLE. Then, READ IT AGAIN!

Hillarious. You're just another feebleminded individual aren't ya? This post still did not answer the question I've been asking for weeks,How am I a troll? Two indviduals here, who shall remain nameless, continued to question football knowledge, even going as far to say that "I don't know crap about it". I made a simple statement along the lines of Derek Carf is good, and that moron proceeded to post a meaningless fantasy stat(which has proven to be flawed). Discussions such as These, were the reasons why I WANTED to discuss football in this thread. I wanted to see if TuneScribe and Desus could back up all their talk. But just like I expected they weren't able to. It's fine, since I am no longer dealing with those dolts anymore. Before you make posts such as these, try to follow the discussion first.

My definition is someone that will post ANYTHING to annoy for the pleasure to annoy - they have no convictions.

Often people passionate about religion, politcs, and sports are confused for trollers - I'd call them flamers. But point is having convictions means you are not a troller.

And what did it accomplish? More losses. The dysfunctional Jester organization can't find a competent or even semi-competent Coach who will entertain the idea of accepting a Job there.

Don't forget all the turn downs they got before turning in desperation to Wrecks Ryan. The ultimate putdown was the ex Pittsburgh Coach who said, "I want an Opportunity, not a Sentence".

The Jets need a new owner and won't improve until they get one. The present one is a Knucklehead and Playboy, with more inherited money than brains.

The only Coach who actually thrived in the miasma that is the Jesters, was a guy that you wanted fired. Eric Mangini built the team into one that could win, when the players matured, but y'all drove him out of town before then. The El Knucklehead obliged in his execution.

BB could see the dysfunction when he wrote, "I resign as HC of the NYJ."

From what I can see going through the last several pages of this thread, the idea is that because the Jets have sucked for so long, they therefore will win a Super Bowl in the next five years.

I guess that's like the person on food stamps that spends their entire weekly allotment of cash on lottery tickets, and even though they never hit the jackpot they rationalize that they should continue to spend all their money on more lottery tickets because at this point the law of averages says that they will win this week (or in this case, in the next five years).


The other analogy I thought of is that of the scrawny kid who gets pushed around, vowing 'give me three months of working out, I'll get you back' (or in this case, the grand five year plan). While that may indeed happen in the movies, has any of us ever seen that happen in real life? I didn't think so either.
