If you had both on your fantasy team..who would you start and who would you sit?

Blount, people keep mentioning that Gray not playing was punishment. While there may have been a bit of that, I think it was mostly that BB thinks Blount is a better back. I also think the Pats will get a lot of yards on the ground Sunday.

Of course I also think Blount is a better back than Ridley, so take my advice for what it is worth.

Heck they could both almost play FB. Let's just start Blunt, Gray, and Devlin and just play smash mouth football (ala the early football years. BB could just play tribute to the early football pioneers)

And yes that's not meant to be serious.

I expect the two of them to share the carries. BB seems to like the committee approach for the most part and it seems to make the RBs happy too.

The 3 backs all compliment each other well and fit into nice roles within the team:
Gray - general/starting back, get off to a good start on first down etc.
Blount - pounder, can close games out in the 4th or punch it in from a yard out/convert 3rd/4th & short.
Vereen - change of pace & pass catcher.

So I'd start Gray and use Blount & Vereen in a rotation, this is a game where running 40 or so times is going to be the way to go.

The Packers are 30th in the league against the run giving up 136.7 yards a game @ 4.5 per carry. Compare that to the Colts who are 17th in the league giving up 109.9 yards a game @ the same 4.5 a carry - and that includes the beat down New England gave them. A gameplan of running all over the Packers helps in 2 areas, it keeps Rodgers off the field and it goes directly up against the Packers biggest weakness.

Blount is my pick as he has proved way more on higher levels but I am taking nothing from Gray, if he has more games like the colts game we might be having a whole different discussion regarding the RB position. Ridley can't be resting easy right now although I think they can afford all three with Gray and blounts contracts being small, that and Ridley taking a hometown discount of course we would bludgeon teams to a pulp.

I'd pick Gray. I fully expect him to come out like he has everything to prove to the world after being benched and watching what Blount did last week. A running back rivalry -- with both guys on the same exact team -- sounds like fun.

I'd roll with Blunt....his big advantage is he's a veteran and BB knows what to expect regarding hitting the right hole, not fumbling etc. BB probably doesn't trust Gray as much simply because he's less experienced.

FWIW, I think Gray is a little better.

In a wishbone, with Brady jogging the option to keep 'em honest. :p

Blount because tackling a guy who is 250, but still elusive, is much harder. Blount and the OL (with the Big Center emerging) wear front sevens out.

Props to DeGuglielmo and Frears, neither of whom gets nearly enough credit.

Yes but if you remember, bb had Fleming lined up as a third ot/te and that stretched the colts d line and gave gray a lot of options as far as open holes.

We will not have Fleming for the Green Bay game and I cringe at the thought of cannon or the kid from Memphis being on the field in this role.

Gotta go with Blount, a guy with a huge chip on his shoulder is usually a good pick. See #12...

After the past week and the public humiliation of being benched within days of being SI's cover boy, you don't think Jonas Gray would have a chip on his shoulder?

I'd say it is a BOULDER. :D
