end of an era for RG3 in washington, or just Grudens way of saying he doesnt want to work for snyder anymore/?

Or the organization 's way of admitting they screwed up yet again and it's time to move on. Dude is awful!

He is just not big enough to play a read option QB in the NFL. griffin by all accounts is a good kid, but he is smaller than Slater and no way he can take hits from An NFL front seven.

the read option on a whole is going the way of the wildcat. Once the NFL said that The QB is considered a runner and not a QB in the read option, that was pretty much all she wrote.

Griffin has been pedestrian at best! Gruden runs a west coast offense, something Griffin can not do.

Washington has been a mess for years, because Snyder won't commit to a coach and a system.

Well, he's gone after this year it seems. He grabbed a ton of cash in endorsements and what not, so unless he wasted all that, he'll be fat and happy at a nice young age.

Who knows? Maybe we'll see him in New Jersey next year....

He wasn't awful until Shanahan put him on the field on one leg and he ended up suffering a devastating knee injury. If we could get are hands on him and rebuild him behind Brady for a few years he would be the Young to Brady being Montana.

Only this wasn't a one time screwup. Considering the number of number one draft picks given to the Rams, this is a devastating admission that could hamper them for years....

If he can't grasp a Gruden offense, how on Earth is he going to grasp ours? Our offense can draw a lot of similarities to a west coast style and is far more complicated.

And he will tell tales of how great he would have been if not for his unfortunate knee injury...

I dunna know. I still think RG III is a good QB. He had a very good rookie year, he blew out his knee and needed to rehab. While Gruden runs a WCO, hes a different coach. My point is that the last two seasons have not been easy on him. Maybe he hasn't committed himself like Luck has. Not sure.

Keep in mind for almost 20 years the Redskins have been an average to pathetically-run football operation. They are the NYY of the late 80-early 90s.

How would/could he fit into the Pats system? Not sure but I would support the action of bringing him in to find out.

Completely disagree. I was a fan of RG3 coming out of college & Wilson. Thought rg3 had potential NFL year one before Shanny destroyed his knees. Unfortunately rg3 has shown an inability to grasp pro offenses and even worse has continued attitude issues inhibiting his usefulness as a team leader. Most recently, I watched him play the Redskins. He was beyond awful. Worse than Geno Smith. Can't read Ds. Makes bad decision after bad decision and is inaccurate. Not an NFL QB in any system.

Valid and fair, I cannot disagree with your take. Happy thanksgiving Pissah!

Remember all the posters here a few months ago who were whining that the Patriots FO never goes "all-in"?

RG III to Washington in exchange for 3 consecutive 1st round picks to St Louis is what "all-in" looks like, kids.

It ain't pretty.

I saw him as being at least a debatable pick with Luck when drafted, but his issues extend to leadership. When the PR draft machine disappeared, all these "RG Me" stories came out, and his press conferences for the Skins have validated them. While his physical issues may go away, his ability to alienate a locker room and hesitancy to critique his own performance/evolve and develop as a QB in the NFL may endure. Was a fan. Not so much anymore.

It ain't pretty if it doesn't work. If RG3 had a SB ring already, I'd be a different matter.

"If RG3 had a SB ring already, I'd be a different matter"

How does one get one of those things?

(Other than breaking into Vrabel's house)

Not only that but look at what the final haul was and what those draft picks turned into for St. Louis.

Washington got - RG3

St Louis got - DT Michael Brockers, CB Janoris Jenkins, RB Isiah Pead, LB Alec Ogletree, WR Stedman Bailey, RB Zac Stacey, OT Greg Robinson and G Rokevious Watkins. 5 starters and a WR who is coming along nicely.

Ouch!

here's rg3 unable to find a open receiver from last weeks game:

Jesus, he is awful. Gruden made the right call publically taking him to task and benching him. They're not going to have any better luck with McCoy but at least it will put them in the position to move on from RGMe and cut their losses.
