My eldest is 24 and graduated from Northeastern and loved his 3 years in Boston. He's been to 5 Games in his time there and the Pats won all 5 times. My second is 16 and wants to follow in his brother's steps.
You see my dear friends the reason i became a Patriots fan is because i wanted to go to Harvard when i was young,,,55 now . I ended up in England instead and followed two Teams,,,Leeds United in England when they were really good and still love them although they are bad now,,and the Grogan led Patriots. At that time of our Super Bowl run i loved Andre Tippett and Irving Fryar. I always loved Boston even though i didn't end up studying there.
Now i tell my sons about how i started and my eldest decided to go there since he became a Pats fan and study where his dad couldn't go.
Right now i keep telling them to enjoy and always cherish these moments as a fan ,,because i went through so many tough years following the Patriots and how many laughed at me when i told them who i supported in the NFL,,some being my own cousins who were either Cowboys or 49ers fans.
I want them to remember what they are witnessing in Tom Brady ,,becoz there won't be another like him.
I also want them to remember Bill Bilichick ,,,becoz also there won't be another HC like him.
I want them to just enjoy this great Team that is unfolding in front of them,,,and that History will judge this Dynasty as the greatest of all time.
We are grateful and lucky as fans , and i am happy to share my story with you because i am not an American.
From the moment i started in 1985 i knew this was my Team for life. As a young man my favorite song than was Massachusetts by the Bee Gees.
I know and always have that Tom Brady will win another Ring,,i am hoping and confident its this Year.
Its so great we must cherish and remember nothing stays forever thats why i keep telling my sons.
Nothing will keep me away from Glendale Arizona,,where we as the New England Patriots have some unfinished business there.
My two sons do appreciate and understand what i am telling them which makes every win even sweeter.
Its strange as i am writing i have a few tears in my eyes recalling memories of the past. Its passion that some of you will never understand.
I said in 2007 during that sad night in Arizona ,,that if we won one more than i couldn't care if we never won another at all.
I pray we win it all this year and than i couldn't care what we do,,well maybe i will !
I am sure most of us are just watching and realizing we are witnessing Greatness.
I have never ever written something this long , but it is just so true. Lets enjoy it while it lasts.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. GO PATS

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Abdul! I love your passion!

Happy thanksgiving. Fortunately you get pride from the Pats because Leeds are the Jets of England.

Just kidding. Lol.

I was a huge Grogan fan...

I tell my kids he was one of the last to call his own plays in the old era where there was not as many sub units like now.

Great passion....Boston is a great sports area.

Happy Thanksgiving

Dear Abdul - thanks for your passion (understand it 100%) and please buy your eldest son tickets to the Super Bowl right away! (P.S. - I also love the Bee Gees; don't tell anyone; everyone thinks I am goofy). Happy Thanksgiving!

The elusive 4th ring is all I want for the greatest QB to put on cleats. I just want this 4th ring to soundly cement Tommy as the greatest in history. That's all I want, the rest after that is pure gravy.

What I say to my sons...

"Can we please turn off Peppa Pig so I can watch the game?"

Well said. Gottah savah the flavah while it lasts.

"As a young man my favorite song than was Massachusetts by the Bee Gees...."

You were doing great until that, Abdul.

:D Thanks very much ,,but unlike the Jets , Leeds United are a sleeping Giant in England and have won Titles and European Trophies in the past. Shame where they are now.

Well thankyou my dear , and no shame in admitting we loved the Bee Gees.:)

Salam Alaikum brother. LOL i coudnt stop laughing when i read this. Guess our taste in music are miles apart,,but you know i love all kind of music ,,Country also. Inshallah if we make it to Glendale Arizona,,lets try and meet up my dear friend. Maasalama brother and take good care.

I share your passion Abdul. I spent many of my younger days freezing in the bleachers in Foxboro wondering if I would ever see this team win. I was at the game when Bledsoe got nailed by Mo Lewis and then I thought we really do not have a chance who is this kid...........boy was I ever wrong! I love the passion, happy thanksgiving to all and I am looking forward to a great game at Lambeau field with a Patriots victory!

I've never come across this, but good Lord! The result of that games makes the song all that much more corny.. ;)

I only saw it once, and only in part, but that part was enough to sear my brain. Perhaps it could be combined with "Pencil Face" somehow...

I'd like to give thanks to Leeds Utd. 22 years ago today they sold the man in my avatar to Man Utd.
