I wonder how many additional NFL players will follow suit and speak of the hypocrisy that is the NFL?

I know it won't happen but I'd love to see Moore talk about how the NFL is more concerned with M Lynch not talking with the media than they are having Dominic Raiola purposely trying to injure him by launching at his knees.

And I guess I'll have to be a bit hypocritical myself. I'm glad BB keeps the lid on things here, but I have to admit that this was awesome:

Sherman: "Yeah, it sounds a little bit hypocritical. It seems like we're in a league where they say, 'Players, please don't endorse any alcohol. No DUIs please.' But yet, a beer sponsor is their biggest sponsor. Doug, how do you feel about that?"

Baldwin: "Like I said, sounds very hypocritical."

Sherman: "Very, very interesting. It's crazy. In the offseason you get to wear Neff beanies, you get to eat Campbell's soup. My girl [girlfriend Ashley Lillian Moss] was sick this week and we got some Campbell's soup in her. So kids, when you get sick, make sure you get some Campbell's soup."

Baldwin: "Speaking of health, how do you feel about the NFL making you play two games in five days?"

Sherman: "On my gosh, geez. I almost didn't realize that because they've been talking about players' safety so much. Two games in five days doesn't seem like you care about players' safety much. It's a little bit much for me. But Doug, you look pretty healthy to me. Looks like you've been eating good. What kind of sandwiches have you been having?"

Baldwin: "You know, I like to eat fresh, so I eat my Subway [the sandwich restaurant that makes his cutouts]. And I wash it down with a bottle of Martinelli's [apple juice and cider]."
(snip)

LOL, that was pretty funny, especially Baldwin using the cut-out.

I could not love that any more! Good for them for speaking out about all of this crap.

Good for them. Feel free to give back the money they make from team and personal sponsorships. By wanting to demonstrate the hypocrisy of professional sports, they've demonstrated their own hypocrisy.

Leave it to the comedians to show up sports.

That is outstanding

I hear Belichick told Thomas Dimitroff that instead of spending a lot of money on a Julio Jones full size standee, he could get a better value by purchasing the much less expensive Doug Baldwin full size standee.

Hes somewhat right on the first one, I mean they aren't telling you to drink and drive. 120% agree on the second part. They should keep thursday night games but add somewhat of a second bye week where you dont play the sunday before a thursday night game. A poster here suggested it cant remember who. but sounds like a win all the way around. takes some sloppiness out of those games as well.

The NFL, for an organization that values it's image, sure makes many questionable calls.

Sherman needs to shut up -- about most things.

That was Jon Baldwin. I hate Richard Sherman but I really liked that interview. Mocks the NFL and he's getting a fine. Win-Win situation. Now every NFL fan needs to stop purchasing NFL merchandise, attending or watching games for 2 straight seasons to set the NFL straight. Otherwise they'll do whatever they want in the interest of money and not about trying to do the right thing.

Sherman may be mocking the NFL but he's also the beneficiary of sponsorship money and personal endorsements. He's a hypocritical, attention seeking idiot attempting to present himself as a voice of reason.

If Sherman really feels that strongly about the NFL's pursuit of money, give up your endorsements and use generic branded products.

I'm so so glad BB is on our side. I can't understand the critics. Winning is all that matters to me. I feel the coach places winning ahead of everything. I like it. I like it a lot.

All this BS : useless drivel.

Richard Sherman is a jerk and even if the point being made is a good one, it's still Richard Sherman.
Sherman to me is misunderstood. Yes, he's been known to talk too much and I wasn't a fuge fan of his Crabtree speech right after winning the NFCCG last year, but I think he does all that only to gain advantage, not just to be a dim-witted trash talker.

I mean this guy was a 4.0 student at Stanford. This guy knows his facts and knows what he is doing when he trash talks towards another defender. I feel like he knows how other players minds work psychologically, and he knows how to get into their heads. I actually admire him for that, it's a very clever tactic.

A 4.0 standard student should know he's biting the hand that feeds him.
