Not sure the Packers are ready for the kind of violence this team is bringing lately.

Opening at 3.5 pt dogs. Again.

god i am going to tease them and get roughly them at +9...love it

we keep lacy to say 70 or 80 yards....we win this thing. He gets 125 ect..it will be a toss up

Deion Sanders on NFL.com said that he doesn't think Rodgers is prepared to deal with the challenges of the Pats' secondary. That, combined with being a more physical team on both sides of the ball and GB having a mediocre defense makes me like this matchup.

Can't wait for next week. That's a tough place to play and though GB did have more trouble with MIN today than expected, they've been dominating at home. Need to limit mistakes and keep Nelson in check. Another huge test for the secondary.

Big Vince is playing too many plays I think. Need more past rush.

Are you actually watching the games or are you just looking at the stats? Seriously... The Pats had plenty of pass rush today. They flushed Stafford out of the pocket on numerous occasions and forced him to make a lot of throws that were bad..

I think the Pats match up well with GB. On offense, run the stuffing out of the ball, a la the game last week in Indy. (After today, Blount will get some of those 37 snaps Gray got against the Colts. Be very interested to see exactly how many.) Lots of heavy formations, utilizing multiple tight ends, Develin, Fleming/Cannon, etc. Brady will kill 'em on the play-action; I still don't see GB as having a disciplined defense.

Then on defense, Pats have already showed they can match up against pretty much any pair of WRs. (My guess is that it's the savvy Revis, who's our best chance of defending those back-shoulder throws, on Nelson. Then idk, maybe Arrington on the shiftier Cobb and Browner on Quarless.) Plus, they've already proven to my satisfaction that the front 6 is capable against the run in the sub D. Keeping containment on Rodgers will be the key, IMO.

I think the Pats probably win. If GB wins in a close one, it doesn't really affect my perception of this team - it is, after all, Rodgers at Lambeau. The only result that would surprise me is a blowout in GB's favor.

who's the head ref??

if it's Boger, it's already fixed for GB...mark it

Been worried about this game the last few weeks, but now I think the Patriots are currently the best team in the NFL and can win this. Vikings played them competitively today and the Vikes aren't the Pats. Lambeau becomes the big question mark, but as others have said, this team is playing fast and aggressive. My new concern is that we may be seeing a preview of the SB and might have to show them more of our hand than we want to to win next week.

Like the name ;)

Division games are always tough.especially on the road even if it is the vikings....always know your division guy much better then other teams.

Belichick8384 - You dislike my post legitimately asking someone if they watched the games or just looked at the stats when they were complaining about the pass rush? Seriously?

You seriously need to grow up. You need to deal with the fact that you were wrong about a majority of the penalties that the Pats took today. I'm not the only one who said so. It was a running theme in the Game Day thread by numerous different posters and it was mentioned by Rob0729 in his postgame thread.

Something that i don't think has been mentioned too much has been the excellent play of Branch today in the trenches. You have to really be impressed with what BB has done with this team post the 53 man cut:

Ayres, Wright, Brand Cassillas and Blount all have stepped right in and performed for our team. That is big for this team who is currently without Mayo, Jones Easley et al.

Brady_to_Moss was taken! :)
Yeah, good point about the divisional aspect, but still, the Vikings are in flux and pulled out a pretty good game against arguably the best team in the NFC. I like our chances.

Gonna be an easy win. We have a complete defense and GB doesn't. We're going to run all over them.

The key to this game will be shutting down Lacy.. Plain and simple. If the defense can't stop Lacy and force Rodgers to go strictly to the air, they will kill us..

Completely agree. No disrespect to Rodgers, but this d was built to shut down qbs. Can Wilfork/branch/siliga control the oline enough? My money's on our D getting off the field more than theirs.

rodgers is a front runner. get an early lead and we win.

oh and UNLEASH THE GRONK

everyone hypes GB because they defeated the bears/sanchez??/

Packers fans feel good going up against our Offense full of 'nobodies'. I mena, cuz nobodies
rodgers is a front runner. get an early lead and we win.

It's that simple, huh?

I think Andrew Luck and the Colts was a good preparation for Rodgers and GB. The Pats managed to contain Andrew Luck and his big play weapons while shutting down the Indy running game. GB has a better runner in Lacy, but Indy has better TE weapons. I don't necessarily expect the gameplay to be the same, but the basic goals will be similar.

I meant they need more past rush from his position. Plus they're exhausting him.
