Post your game thoughts here:

1) Refs were horrible. Pats were able to overcome the lop-sided officiating.
2) The secondary played great today as did the entire defense in general.
3) Injuries to watch:
  • Connolly - Not sure what happened. Was replaced by Kline sometime in the 3rd quarter.
  • Arrington - Looks like a concussion.
  • Lafell - hurt his shoulder. Will be interesting to see how this affects him
  • Edelman - Neck. He got shaken up and wasn't the same the rest of the game.
4) Welcome back, Legarrette Blount.
5) Anyone wanna bet that Gray has bought himself a new alarm clock or will the first chance he gets.

I pray none of these injuries are too serious

D was absolutely lights out. Revis, Chung, Browner, Nink.. All played unbelievably good.

Don't forget special teams

Love Reiss, but his hitting Collins for the mis-called penalty that was actually on Ayers is bad.

i was concerned about this game with Detroit but I didn't expect the Pats to wipe them out.

Great game Pats.

Brady seemed a bit off. Shoulda seen the safety on the pick he tried to force into Gronk. Overthrew Squirrel on an open deep pass. Another pass coulda been picked but was dropped.
I love criticizing a guy completing 2/3rds of his passes, 2 TDs and 349 yards. :)

@jeffphowe
The Patriots defense posted a board in the meeting room this week with "trash talk" from Lions claiming they were NFL's best defense...

@jeffphowe
...Revis said they used that as motivation and called some of the Lions' comments a "slap in the face."

Disappointed with the offense in the 2nd half but great team defense and special teams.

Does anyone have a GIF of Stafford getting driven to the ground by Ninkovich on 2nd and 6(I think) when he threw it away near the running back after moving outside the pocket? His reaction was priceless! :D

And all those fans of other teams say Brady hates getting hit...lol all QB's hate getting hit.:p

Well the Patriots defense did have s pretty big advantage in this game... They got to go against the Lions offense.

I think that Brandon Bolden's days are numbered. He leads the special teams players in penalties taken. I think it's 4 or 5 now...

Are you talking about the block to the back on Edelman's TD return? Because that was Chung

Are you talking about the block to the back on Amendolas TD return? Because that was Chung

And it was Edelman, not Amendola.

well, other than that...

And it was Edelman, not Amendola.

See and that's my own stupidity. I knew it was Edelman but went to NFL.com to make sure I wasnt crazy and that it was Chung (and not Bolden) that cause the return to be called back and they have Amendola as the one who returned it.

A boring game. Not because the pats scored 'only' 34 and gronk didnt do any gronk moves but mainly because of the refs. The game couldnt have gone any longer.
OTOH - Seems Lafell and Connolly dodged injuries. Thats all is important.

Tom Brady's first NFL game was against the Lions in 2000 and the Patriots lost 34-9. Today, won 34-9.

Exactly. As excited as I wanted to be, the refs completely took it away

Damn.. I got my plays mixed up.. Bolden's was on the same one where Don Jones was penalized.. Jones' penalty was marginal, Bolden's was outright egregious..

Gonna correct that.. Corrected.. and thanks for the correction.
