As much as I hate to root for Peytie Pie, since we lost to the Dolphins and beat the Donkeys, it's better for us if Miami loses. I will be rooting for Wes Welker to help us put them in the rear view mirror.
How is a flat KC team losing a trap game (Oak between Seattle and Denver) on the road somehow applicable to the Patriots playing the Dolphins at home? Are you thinking the Patriots will be looking past the Dolphins and focusing on the mighty Jets?

I was avoiding the trite truisms that division games are never a lock, and that on any given Sunday, any team has a chance. Much can happen in a given game.
Besides, I don't see the disadvantage of being an additional game ahead of our only division rivals.

The pragmatic side says root for Denver. A Miami loss provides a more likely division title. As good as the Patriots have looked, anything can happen. It's best to focus on winning the division title first then working out the optimal seeding.
The knee jerk side says we'll win the division title so I'd rather root for Miami - to see Manning get pushed back to a Wild Card spot and have to slug it out on the road just for the opportunity to come to Foxboro.
I have to come from the point of view that the pats control their own destiny, and that you have to beat the best week in/week out to be the best (that's how the playoffs are set up - no losing). So, if we end up losing even just home field advantage at this point, it's our fault. After Miami played us the way they did, they have a little bit of something denver doesn't..... My respect. So Miami has my vote all day long. We'll have our turn with them again coming up.
Plus, I live in Denver and love the taste of tears. Mmmmm..... So salty!
