"New England Patriots: Center Bryan Stork is one of ten centers in the league with at least 200 pass block snaps and not a sack allowed."

That's pretty impressive for a rookie going against some of the toughest defensive lineman in the NFL. Hopefully, it will continue against Detroit.

The offensive Line has given up 16 sacks...9th best in the NFL.

I've been on the Stork train for awhile now. Glad to see I'm not crazy (by the stats anyway).

While Stork has looked good, the harmony of the O line contributes to this statistic, playing together helps this group.. remember all the brouhaha about Dave DeGuglielmo??...

Last year the Pats allowed about 25 sacks after 10 games
This year the Pats have allowed 16 sacks after 10 games

wow, that is impressive...great to see the o-line improving so rapidly, the next couple weeks will be a big test for them...

A sack-free season, delivered to you by the Stork!!!

YAHHHHH!!!

Okay... maybe that doesn't work...

I was very, very, very wrong about Stork and I could not be happier to say that. He is a much better OC than I projected him to be.

We may not be great at drafting and developing WR's, but the o/line is a whole 'nuther ball game.

Very true. But Stork is also a key part of that harmony. The OL as a group solidified greatly when he moved to center.

I was one of the guys who was happy with the pick of Stork during the draft, though he still has injury concerns.. Hopefully, those are behind him and the Pats can upgrade the guards this coming season, though I will give kudos to Wendell for having stepped up his game as the RG.. I thought for sure he'd be gone to start the season and he's proven me wrong..

Yeah, it appears that Wendell is better suited to just handling blocking. I think the biggest issue he was having was that his snap tell was giving DTs a jump. Those split-seconds make a difference at NFL speed. He wasn't getting beat because he is not strong enough. He was getting beat because they were already half-way past him once he got his hands back up.

and how many of those were before the cinci game when the ol finally got settled?

9 thru the first 4 games.
2 of the 6 since came against Buffalo when Stork was out and then Connolly went out of the game.

Fins - 4
Vikings - 1
Raiders - 2
Chiefs - 3

So 10 in the first 4 games. 6 in the last 6 games.

Looking at the stats on sacks allowed, the Pats are only one sack more than being tied for 5th in fewest sacks allowed. Seeing that 9 were surrendered in the period when they were experimenting, this O-line is now very good in Pass protection.

BTW my numbers are when the OL was protecting for Brady because a couple of those were when Garoppolo was in.

Chiefs and Bears both sacked Garoppolo once each.

Good for Stork, Now we just have to find a young guard who can replace Wendell or Connolly in next years draft.

Sacks aren't an awful way to judge an oline as I do think they can give you an idea but a more important stat I want to know, especially a with a quick release QB like Brady, is hits. How many shots has Brady taken compared to last year? IMO that is the real judge of oline improvement because if you keep Brady upright for the season the patriots are going far.
