Good move, he won't be a diva here or he will have to deal with Vince Wilfork.

Though I wonder how he will act not being the main man, another big body back will do us great if his attitude is decent

I guess that means he didn't alienate this locker room as he has so many others. He's certainly a useful complementary piece for the offense heading into grind-it-out season. But I'm curious to see who they cut...I'll be very, very surprised if they mothball James White, as many have suggested.

I like it. I think he's a bit overrated here. But he's still a good RB and I don't want to be in a situation where Gray is our only between the tackles runner.

Hope White's injury heals up for the beginning of OTC's.

good. keeps a solid back away from the Colts and Broncos.

also, I think its important to have depth at running back. for all those saying "but we have gray!" last year we had a rotation of ridley/blount/vereen which worked out pretty well

This is great news. Both sides wanted a deal done last year but sadly we were world's apart on what we both wanted out of the deal. By all accounts it was a friendly parting.

He towed the line here despite the character concerns prior to us signing him the first time around and I have no doubt Bill will make him do so again.

Huh...why not just put in a waiver claim, I wonder?

It's easy to forget, given how much he's bounced around the league, that Blount is still just 27 years old. (And not a ton of mileage on him, given how much time he's spent suspended and in various coaches' doghouses! )

Since Ridley tore his ACL, that makes him a lock to be re-signed.
