Csnne:Lions, Ihedigbo want to bring fear factor to Foxboro

I like our chances with the game @home, but I don't want to start pushing the envelope with the "disrespect factor" either. No sense in allowing them to play that card. Gotta love the media.

I know Detroit likes to play physical and borderline dirty so I really only care about getting out healthy. That Lions-Dolphins game a few weeks back left some of the Dolphins a little battered up. There's nothing better than getting a win and everyone remaining healthy.

Ihedigbo sucked four years ago when he was playing badly in the worst Pats' secondary I've ever seen.

If I'm afraid, it's only because they're going to take cheap shots all day and I'm worried that someone important's season is getting ended this weekend.

The guy went to the AFC Championship 4 years in a row, going to Super Bowl on the 3rd attempt and winning it all on his 4th. The Ravens didn't quite make it to the playoffs last year so he switched conferences. When I heard he joined the Lions, I thought, that team's not going anywhere, but somehow their record is good. Maybe a 4 year streak in the NFC Championship game is coming up?

Let's beat them and send the Patriots to the AFC Championship for the 4th year in a row. :)

And yet, they somehow almost won the Super Bowl that year (2011), which is a completely amazing thought to consider.

It's funny how guys change personalities based on the personality of their team. Brown and Ihedigbo never pulled that kind of stuff when they were on the Pats, that's for sure. Could you imagine BB's reaction if Pat Chung talked about bringing the "fear factor" to the Lions?

The only way the Lions could scare me with Ihedigbo is if they left him here after the game.

And yeah, the Lions are dirty. Then again, I think the Pats are starting to show a bit of attitude themselves. Maybe Gronk can take someone to the woodshed again.

A little attitude is fine. The Pats keep theirs pretty much under control.

That's what I like about the way the Pats do it versus out of control teams like the Ravens, Jest (of old), and Lions. I think we see from BB's reaction to Gronk's block that he's willing to tolerate it to some degree, but I have no doubt he keeps a tight leash on it, and his players know the boundaries.

What do you think is the over-under on quarters in which Ihedigbo gets helped off the field. I'm thinkin at least 2. It is amazing that a guy with such a low pain tolerance is in the NFL.

He was asked if they were intimidated. He responded that Lions have a lot of talent on their roster and others should be intimidated.

He seemed like a good guy when he was here. I don't recall any noise about dirty or cheap play by him. Seems silly to let blatant incitation rile us up.

I think the Pats are starting to show a bit of attitude themselves.

Not sure if it's media hype but with Gronk's exploits, the hit on WW and a couple of others, this seems accurate to me. Maybe Browner's style of play is wearing off on people. The team seems to be playing with more of an edge than before.

The Pats SB teams had an attitude. SEA, BAL, Pitt all had attitudes. I think the NO Saints of 2009 on defense had an attitude.

There is a history of teams with an attitude winning SBs. Keep it up!

Reading the piece did cause me to feel differently than I did when I first saw the title. He just seemed to be responding to the question in an expected way.

So I take it Ihedigbo's shoulder is finally all better? Good for him.

He said "look at all the names we have" and proceeds to only name one.

I'm sure there will be a mysterious flare up when the Pats are driving down the field doing no-huddle on sunday...
