can you leave revis on him one on one?

I don't think Johnson is 100%. If this past Sunday is any indication, he is not and Stafford will force the ball to him anyway and ignore his other receivers.

Wouldn't be shocked if Revis is on Golden Tate, not Megatron.
I was thinking that too. Browner on Johnson and Revis on Tate. Or I wouldn't be surprised Dennard dresses and is on Tate, Revis on Johnson, and Browner on Ebron.

They seem to be mixing things up in game quite a bit recently, both due to adjustments and just to keep the opponents guessing. I'm sure we'll see a lot of Browner/McCourty on Johnson with Revis on Tate and Collins on the TE, then the next play we'll see Revis on Johnson, Dennard/Arrington/Ryan on Tate with help over the top and Browner on the TE. Plus there will be a fair smattering of zone for good measure.

It's actually one of the strengths of this secondary IMO. There are ideal assignments for sure, but lots of players can hold their own against a variety of weapons, which makes it harder for the opponent to rely on a mismatch.

I would actually like to see Revis on Tate. Kind of like Revis was on Wayne and Arrington was on Hilton most of the game..(arrington will NOT be on CJ) but but Browner on him with safety help i think. Try that and see how it goes

I worry a little since Calvin is big AND fast - he ran his 40 in the 4.3 range

I think the Pats need a hot line so we can fax or call in our suggestions. We'd win more games that way especially the super bowl

The Cardinals were able to mostly eliminate Johnson and Tate, so lets see if the Pats secondary can do a similar job

Revis absolutely needs to be on Calvin. We already saw Revis pretty much shutting down AJ Green which is a similar play than Calvin (Granted not nearly as good).

Best CB and WR in the game going at it. Will be fun to watch

Reiterating what others have said before, I would like to see Revis on Tate and then having bracket coverage on CJ, with safety over the top. If that doesn't work then throw Revis on CJ.

Back when he was on the Jets, Rex put Revis 1-on-1 against Megatron and he held him to like 15 yards. Revis has been there, done that. Also, Calvin is probably not 100% healthy, so that's an advantage.

We're paying him 12M a year specifically for this duty.

Megatron is not the same player. I'm good with Browner jamming him and seeing how he does in single coverage. Like the Colts game, make adjustments accordingly based on how DET fairs in the passing game.

I'd rather leave Browner for Pettigrew or Ebron

You know Revis is dying to draw Johnson 1 on 1 for the game. Hopefully Bill lets/trusts him

It's funny how everyone says "stick Revis on Megatron", but the reality is that outside of a couple games, Revis has been moved around/played zone quite a bit. Patriots have used him much differently than everyone expected. He did shadow AJ Green, and shut him out...but for the most part, he's been doing different things. Everyone thought he was going to shadow Hilton and we all know what happened there.

you know what would be fun, if the pats get way up, if they put minitron on megatron.

Peterson was on Calvin. Peterson is 6'1". Calvin is 6'5". Put Browner on Calvin. Browner is more physical than Revis.

Revis on Tate as Tate is more elusive. IMO

I'd rather see Ultron put on Megatron. :p

All joking aside, Browner on Ebron, Revis on Megatron, and Arrington w/safety help on Tate.

Just amazing how our secondary is built to match up with any passing attack when healthy. BB and Patricia can play mad scientists with this secondary, like McDonald's 'I'm loving it'. I See the secondary being moved around to throw Detroit off balance.
