Remember all the talk about lack of offensive weapons...

Brady and Gronkowski are both very seriously in the discussion for being the #1 player ever at their respective positions. That's major talent right there -- the best 1-2 punch in the league, and perhaps the best 1-2 punch ever. (Montana-Rice is the other obvious contender, and Elway-Davis ranks pretty high as well.)

On the other hand, the other four eligible receivers on any given play are usually, taken together, a more questionable bunch.

This is the first time since 2007 that this team's really had a defense worth a damn, in terms of personnel as opposed to scheme. And, if Gronk goes down, it could easily go to waste, because the offense still doesn't have enough weapons right now.

Post week 4, it's been a fun ride. But, I don't really care about the regular season, in terms of looking at the overall picture. As I've pointed out elsewhere, Brady + BB = Playoffs. It's worked out that way every time except 2002. I prefer to leave the fawning over the regular season to Peyton Manning fans.
This. I'm all for entertaining, hyped up, great games during the regular season. I'm disappointed when they lose in the playoffs, AFCCG and the SB. It hurts- but thats life.

When this team makes the playoffs, they will not score as many points as they are now. The question is...will this defense stop the other offense just enough to warrant fueling up the duck boats for a February ride around Boston.

Yes, we have an awesome offense.

The reasons are obvious: Brady, Gronk and the OL. Also, we use a FB much more often than most top offenses (40% of the time yesterday).

IMHO, we are better with Gray than we were with Ridley.

I would note that we have had almost NO production from our 3rd, 4th and 5th WR's. Our #2 TE only produces in the red zone.

To be plain, we are one the very best offenses in the NFL with Edelman and LaFell as our wide receivers. All the other top offenses have better players at WR. But make no mistake, Brady has plenty of targets with Gronk, Edelman, Lafell, Vereen and Wright.
