Patriots vs. Colts Post-Game Thread

Some of you are acting like I said they had a bad game. Brady threw two INT's. The Patriots, who already lead the league in penalties, had some that could have been avoided. A better D tonight would have made for a closer game. The Colts have a terrible D so they could not take advantage of NE's mistake, other than the one touchdown on a very short field. A better defensive team, and that game would not have been so easy.

I am very happy with the win and I will reiterate that it was a very solid win overall. However, there's plenty to clean up and I'm sure you're hear as much in the post game talk.

The Colts do not have a terrible D....

Yes, they do. They're good in certain areas statistically, but they are not a good defensive team overall. They allowed 50+ points just a few weeks ago for crying out loud. I bow out. I can't have a healthy debate with someone who will say anything to be right.

Weird they couldn't get more pressure re on luck. They were unlucky in that regard.

A lot of the time they were containing him within the pocket purposefully. Ayers was doing it a lot and I specifically remember one snap where Hightower contained the edge and made no attempt to pressure the OT blocking him. They didn't want Luck outside the pocket.

Would've liked to see us give Gray 1 more carry for a yard

One more carry for 14 yards would have made him our all time leading rusher for a game.

with denver losing...we now basically have a 2 game lead over them and pretty much colts as well for #1 seed...keep it up pats and beat DET next week!
3 game lead colts
But one game lead on chiefs

Anybody else disappointed in Ayers not getting a sack;)

Great win tonight.

O line and defense played great.

Every time the colts left six men in the box, the pats pounded it down their throats.

I personally think Hightower's our best pass rusher. Seems to get close every time he rushes off the edge. I don't know if he'd put up the sack numbers if he did it on a regular basis but he'd get a whole bunch of pressures.

He honestly looks unconscious laying at the base of that camera.
That's what i love about it, looks like something straight out of a tables match in wrestling

It seems like we are playing him in a similar role to what he played in college. He's making the most of it right now. He's got the size for line duty, and better speed there than at LB.

They had 1 awful game, it happens. I never said they were elite, but to say they have a bad D is absurd. They have been stingy for pretty much the entire year outside of 1-3 games. Once again, I never said they were elite.

Ok, so don't respond to me anymore lol ... I couldn't care less. You're a 12 year old

I've always liked him so I'm biased but I think he's playing fantastically right now. And you are spot on about him playing like he did at 'Bama. Excellent observation.

Well, you and I both hail from the draft board;)

Nobody is buying into the Pats defense so far. Nobody. That's why the Colts were favored and the spreads were all in the 30's. 34-31, 35-30, 38-35. I read all of them all day. The defense just doesn't appeal to the fan's eye, but the results CANNOT BE ARGUED. No matter how much you fear the lack of a sack or passes completed, you HAVE to look at the game as a function of total team effort and game plan efficiency. You just saw the Pats win a game nobody gave them a chance in for the most part, and they did it by making plays offensively and CONTROLLING the Colts offense defensively.

What good is five sacks on Luck when he's tearing apart your zone? All week, all the nail biters were cowering in fear of what Hilton was going to do to the Pats with the big plays. NOW, no one seems to want to remember those trembling fear filled posts. So, no sacks but TY Hilton 3 catches for 24 yards...you want sacks instead????

WTF is this anyway?

50 shades of Jonas Grey up in this b

Also can someone please explain to me what a Saftey is, because if that kickoff touched in the field of play, bobbled, and then kicked into the endzone before being downed ISNT a safety then I really have no idea what counts as a saftey anymore
