The 2014 Edition : Jets continue to suck (what else is new)

lol, you guys talk more about the Jets than your own team! Oh how sweet it will be, once the Evil Empire falls once again to the Jets! Just wait in a few years, fans of all the other AFC East teams will mock you guys once again, once your " golden boy" retires!
On the bright side, it won't be 46+ years of suckage. Your teams sucks, the owner sucks and the fanbase is, hands down, the worst in the league. So keep hoping for the demise of the Pats while you stand on the brink of another half century of ineptitude.

I'm sure we'll all feel bad that we only had about a 15 year stretch of greatness at one time, along with multiple other trips to the SB throughout the team's history.

It just doesn't compare to the Bills 0 SB wins, or the Jets 1 SB appearance.

We'll just have to console ourselves with the knowledge that even the mighty Dolphins have been to fewer SBs, and have also won fewer.

Yes, it's going to be tough....

So, how's 2-8 treating you? I assume you're enjoying mocking all the other teams in the division with worse records than the Jets. Which teams would that be, by the way?

Yes, that's what you guys wil say now. But you'll be the first one whining when the success of your Pats comes to an end. Trust me. As for the Jets, I'll say it again IF we draft Mariota, WATCH out.

For 40 more years of sucking?

Sure.

I'm sorry, but I didn't realize we've sucked for 46 years. Last time I checked we've been to three AFC championship games, we beat YOUR Pats in the playoffs, have been to the playoffs seven times, and have won eight playoff games over the course of sixteen years. That isn't "sucking". No, it doesn't compare to the success of the Patriots, but you're kidding yourselves if you think we've been on the level of the Bills and Dolphins.

Also, why do you guys have this obession with the Jets. Why don't you display the same hate towards the Bills and Dolphins? Is it , because the Jets have taken you guys down before?

Hmm..
Let's see.

JETS

Suck

Suck

Suck.

That's all

Jetsfan, you seem like a good guy. Why do you do this to yourself?

What is it, those early, elusive flashes of competence each year (perhaps the entire team's cleats being tied?) before you've lost the first of many games - again? Maybe the memory of making it alllll the way to a championship game a couple of times? Come on over, Jetsfan. You don't deserve what the JEST force you to endure time and again. You're better than that.

You made a bad decision early in life, likely influenced by family/peer pressure and sheer geography. It's okay. I myself carried my Patriots loyalty south well before we were the eternal source of doom we represent to the JEST today. I put up with a lot... but for the JEST it just seems never to end.

Just stop doing this to yourself, Jetsfan. Latch onto a team worth rooting for.

I've been a Patriots fan since the 70's. I've seen the low points. Here's the difference between the Patriots and the Jets, though.

Patriots have also seen the high points since the merger.

Why you ask? Because when we return to relevancy, it will be oh so sweet!

PS, another franchise savior currently struggling through Rocks for Jocks somewhere in our fine tertiary education establishment?

And that'll do it?

Dude this just tells you how far out of touch you can get. It's a two-win team. You're not becoming a dynasty with one high draft pick.

Idc about seeing a dynasty. I just want to see ONE superbowl win, just ONE. We've been close so many times, enough is enough. As the Giants have shown, you don't need a great team. If your QB gets hot at the right time, you can win it all. It all starts and ends with the Quarterback. And we have a chance to draft a potential superstar QB in Mariota this April.

Ah, the old "wait til next year" thing.

It was cute when Red Sox fans pre-2004 clung to that hope, and it is equally cute when New Jersey fans do the same. It took 86 years for "next year" to finally come for the Sox. So chin up, you're half way there!

However, I am still trying to recover from the laughter of Jets boards 10 or so years ago insisting Pennington was better than Brady. How many failed QB's ago was that?

Wait'll next year, indeed.

Had Pennington stayed healthy, we'd have a superbowl right now, if not several. I have no idea if he would have been better than Brady, I doubt he would have, but even YOU can't deny that we would have stole another divison title or two if Chad had a healthy shoulder.

The Jets are on pace for the 5th pick in the draft, which would leave them without any of the "elite" QB prospects.

Tampa will take Winston, and that will leave Mariota for us.

...."And that is why we tell the tell, every night, and await the return of the Namath..."

I like when she focuses on Captain Walker's plane... so appropriate...
