Call me crazy, but I think this year will be our redemption tour. It starts tomorrow with a win at the stadium with the heartbreaking Super Bowl XLVI.

It ends at the stadium where the 'game that shall not be mentioned,' happened with the Pats bringing home the elusive fourth Lombardi.

I actually just had a dream of this happening :D

2011 was supposed to be the redemption tour. Had they beaten NY they would have gone through every team that had knocked them out of the playoffs since 2005. The only exceptions were the Jets (beat twice including a shellacking when NY was riding high midseason) and Indy (saw them completely collapse and would have raised the Lombardi in their home stadium). It really was a perfect set up. The only explanation I can think of that it didn't work out is that the Karma Gods just couldn't abide by a murderer on a championship team.

Term has been used too many times recently, unfortunately we failed at redemption.

I'll be extremely pleased if we just start a brand new tour of ass kicking, though.

With all due respect to the OP we had our redemption tour and didn't quite finish it off (*** you Welker). This isn't the early 2000s anymore. This is a new day and age. A super bowl ring this many years apart would do wonders for Brady and Bills career, and I'll gladly take that.

Redemption as in getting to the super bowl , and losing on a last minute drive yet again? If so, I totally agree!

All Jokes adie you guys have one hell of a team, and although I hate your team, I picked them to get to the Super Bowl. However, if you do not get home field advantage throught out the playoffs I don't see you guys getting to the Superbowl.

Don't care what we call it, I just want another championship. Every season, we've been in contention, and most of them we've been near the top at the end. "Near" the top, unfortunately, feels worse than "at" the top some ways. After 2001-2004, I sort of lost my taste for "Oh well, you win some you lose some, good season anyway..."

Weird about that. The years since 2004 would have been Nirvana for my early Pats-watching years in the late 60s-80s. I'm not one of those idiots who want "heads to roll" when we make it to the SB and don't win it. But I sure am Jonesing for (at least) 1 more.

Oh yeah, how's that song go? "I got a feeling"?

I said I'd never go back to that horrible place in that miserable f'in desert, but, I'm ready to go again, this time with a much better outcome!

Jets fans brag about losing 2 AFC games in a row. You can't have it both ways. 2-8 buddy.

Funny how guys who think "18-1" is the ultimate put-down don't bat an eye at 2-8 :)

Ya remember the time they went to the AFC game twice in a row!!!!!1111oneoneone

Jets fans would kill for one of our last second super bowl losses.

I really don't think the Jet fan was that rude. He/she actually said some complimentary things, hidden amongst some backhanded jabs.

A good old fashioned FU tour with beat downs a-plenty after a huge road loss and the media questioning the team etc?

Sounds familiar...

The "is Brady done?" could very well be this years "they hate their coach".

If they win the super bowl this year, "We're onto Cincinnati" might just become completely legendary.

you are crazy...and i doubt you had a dream about that.

Man I would love to see this happen. But Brady and bb aren't thinking about this, they are just worried about winning tomorrow night

Just my humble opinion...

Brady, Belichick and the Pats have nothing for which they need to be redeemed. They have given us fans more to cheer for and be proud of in 14 seasons than many fans get in a lifetime. They have not won a championship in 10 years... and are considered a dynasty by many.

That is pretty damn good.

Again, just my humble opinion.

A championship win before the 2 breakup, would make this already top sport dominance of all time, to a level no one would have been too. 4 sbs over 14+ seasons, no losing record with Brady as a starter and the most sb and playoff wins of all time would make this the best run in football IMO

I agree that we have had plenty to celebrate, but let's end this rule on the highest of high notes

There's probably 30 or so other teams who feel more entitled to redemption than the patriots.

"we're on to Cincinnati" sounds like it could be a Cole Porter tune in a musical.
