OT: What's your most prized Pats possession?

My Autograph Steve Grogan Jersey. I took a pic with him as he was signing it at his store, then I went back with picture next season and he signed that as well. Grogan, as tough as they come! He's reason why I'm a Pat's Fan since 1976.

I've been a fan since they drafted Plunkett, but Grogan was special. So much fun to watch... and he always seemed to have phenomenal games against the Jets. :D

I have to add to my list my ticket book...I k.ow it isn't much but I keep all of my tickets to all games and this thing is full. When I look at a ticket I remember the day..score..etc etc. Brings back the most memories :D and I counted the other day..man have I been to a lot of games!

My favorite patriot of all time, this is the guy to me that represents everything good about being a Patriot so when I got this for christmas a couple years back I obviously went nuts. First jersey I bought as well though it has now been retired. Autographs are expensive though I would love to get that signed someday as well.

A short time after Grogan was benched for Tony Eason, I ran into him at the Hilltop Steak House in Saugus. He was NOT in a very good mood at the time.

And soon after the change, the Pats went on to lose to the Jets 26-3. I guess Ron Meyer didn't appreciate Grogan's ability to beat the Jets.

I almost forgot, one of my faves as a kid Moisu Tatupu

My most prized Pats possessions are my 2001 AFC Divisional Playoff Game Ticket Stub (snow bowl) and my Fred Marion autographed ball that I got at a signing event as an 11 year old at Paperama in Norwood in 1985 prior to the AFC Championship game in Miamia (I think), my St. Louis Stallions Hat and a CMGI Field napkin :D

A "Squish the Fish" T-shirt (a 2000s re-do, not an original 1986 one) signed by John Hannah.

I have an official Pat's yearbook from 1985. I took it to a charity softball game featuring former Patriots players about 10 years ago and got Ronnie Lippett to sign the full page of him in uniform. You should have seen him looking the yearbook over, you could tell he was reminiscing...

My memory of Adam's kick cutting through the uprights to end SB XXXVI.

I was going to say something like this, and I hope everyone doesn't think I am too goofy, but my most prized Patriots possession is all the memories they have given me since 2001 (and even before that, if I think about it). I have been blessed to attend and/or watch countless games, playoff games and Superbowls that have given me such joy and thrills. I was there for that kick and the one a few weeks before in a snowstorm so bad we couldn't tell if the kick was good except by the reaction of the crowd who was sitting closer. I can't even list all of the fist-pumping, crazy screaming, unbelievable WOW!! plays I have witnessed, many in person, since my husband and I became season ticket holders in 1993. So, my most prized possession is the ride the Patriots have given me, through what is otherwise a pretty ordinary life, and it hasn't stopped yet.

A battered loose leaf notebook which I started in 1960. It contains rosters, drafts, statistics, and player cuts from
1960 to the present. This notebook will go to the grave with me.

You need to get that bad boy scanned... I bet more than a few here would buy the PDF from you. :)

I "get" that completely. I'm jealous that you have seen so much of it in person, but it sounds like the experience wasn't wasted on you and your husband.

The "stuff" really doesn't matter. What matters is what we remember and how we felt. I also still remember how I felt and the sense of dread that came over me when Tyree made his catch and Welker dropped that ball...a foreboding that destiny was not with us those days...but the nature of what we're discussing is that we can't have the highs without the lows.

Thanks.

Yup! And I was at alot of those Grogan games vs Jets beat downs.
I dunno if you remember game when at half time show they flew a Snoopy Doghouse or Flyin Lawn mower and it crashed in stands and killed a fan? I was there. It was at old Shea Stadium (Mets Played) in Queens, NY I think it was late 70's. Actually when I saw Grogan last year he brought up that game to me.

Super Bowl XLVI ticket (I still had an amazing time despite loss) and a signed picture made out to me from Bill Belichick.

Yup, Grogan Luv'd Lightenin'Up Jets, I still have alot of those Pats/Jets games on VHS (Remember Them lol) especially Monday Nite Game vs Namath in '76 Grogan went OFF Throwing & Running.

Well I have a few.

Second is this item with Adam Vinatieri kicking both the Snow Bowl kick and winning the SB, all signed by him. 1 of 36. dad got it at an auction.

Thanks. I don't think I've ever seen one of the Snow Bowl kicks from that angle. From the field position, that's the game winner, not the one that sent it into OT, right?

If you have the 45 yarder from that angle, it ought to go to Canton with Adam five years after he retires.

Yep the game winner right there.

An original first run SB cap from 01-02. Since SLouis was suppose to win they didn't make many pats win SB caps. My mother was in a mall the next morning when the doors opened, happen to see the caps on sale and bought one for me and my brother in law. Unfortunately i took the tags off so theres no way to prove its from the first SB
