Hey Brock Osweiler - nobody steals meaningless stats from Peyton Manning...

I don't think this is true. I don't know if they track these kinds of things statistically though. Would be interesting to find out.
The biggest difference is that Brady hands the football off and runs down the clock, Manning throws deep balls and runs the no huddle.

Except in this case that you are specifically referring to with this thread he just handed it off:
  1. 1-10-DEN 26 (00:40) (Shotgun) 22-C.Anderson up the middle to DEN 27 for 1 yard (96-D.Autry).
3rd Quarter ended and Manning didn't see the field again.

Brady comes out of the game much sooner than Manning does.

When was the last time Brady exited a game before the 4th quarter?

I think the titans game in 09 perhaps?

If you're ever going to come out early, it might as well be after dropping 45 points in the first half.

I'm actually surprised Manning came out for the 4th Q. I truly believe, as many other posters here do as well, that PM does indeed hog the stats as well as run up said stats. And he is never called on it --- N.E.V.E.R. Never. Never, ever. Never. Why? I really don't know. I mean somebody should mention it a few times, I would think.

My fondest hope, is that one day this comes to bite DEN in the ass in one of two ways #1, Instead of running down the clock up 21+, PM throws for a TD, gets pick-6'ed, the game turns around, and DEN eventually loses. Or, #2, That PM is knocked for a loop while attempting a drop back for a quick big stat play in the same situation. But I've been waiting for this for 2 years now, and no luck yet. :) However I feel it will inevitably occur at some point. We will see...

I'm just sharing the story. I thought the entire situation was comical. My OP was not intended to discuss the merits of when a QB should exit the game.

I love how this was Manning's decision and not the head coach's. What the hell does John Fox do on the sideline?

I'm glad other people see this. 8/10 Bronco fans are beyond annoyed with Fox. The players love him, but loving your coach doesn't help you win games. I'm not making any excuses, but as a Bronco fan you kind of know that going into big games the team is going to have to beat the other teams defense and their head coach. Not many QBs go into a game a worry about beating John Fox.

And I'm not sure about the padding his stat stuff. Manning went back in the game because someone told him to, only problem was someone told Brock he was going in as well. Manning handed the ball off, so not sure he was padding stats. Manning has set out the entire 4th quarter of 2 games this year already.

It can. See Chuck Pagano.

Pagano is a hell of a coach and impacts games. Have you ever looked at Chuck and wondered why is he a coach??? That's been said about Fox for a while.

Pagano was impacting games from a hospital bed. His player's love of him elevated their play.

Same with Dungy and Caldwell. Remember the playoff game against Pittsburgh in 2005 where Dungy sent in the punt team and Peyton waived them off? Luckily, for Peyton, he got the first down. If that was my team, and he did that then got stuffed on 4th down, I would have lit into him on the sidelines. Even after getting the first down, we would have had a nice, little chat. Those things are the coach's decision to make... not the quarterback's. Fox, if he were worth a damn as a head coach, would have sat Manning on the bench and put in Osweiler instead of risking the season due to a needless injury in a game that was already out of hand.
