It's easy, and only takes a few moments. Not sure, but if you read the MMQB piece, he says he liked it here, but didn't like being away from his family. He raves about BB, saying he's the smartest person he's ever known, so I'm guessing the parting was amicable, but who knows? What he doesn't mention is his relationship with Brady. Anyway, it's hard to believe he was here for 3 years, witnessed everything Brady did and really believes he's not top 5.I wonder what the circumstances were under which he departed the Pats coaching staff.
Discuss.
I'm guessing 12 TDs in 2 games might have done it. You know, the old "last thing I've seen is the only thing that matters" syndrome.I did not know Chris Simms was with the Patriots office staff for three years. Having seen Brady at close quarters for so long and to conclude he is not that great is revealing. I wonder what led him to that conclusion. Rothlisberger over Manning and Brady?
4) He's succumbed to the Miasma of NYC that eventually taints all sportscasters who spend too much time there.Aaron Rodgers? I don't agree with it, but it's a reasonable argument. Hes incredible.
Peyton?...We all know TB12 is better (see CHFF article)but again, a reasonable argument can be made.
Ben? Uh, no.
Russel Wilson? Nice career going so far but no.
Luck...see Wilson.
Three things are potentially apparent with Simms' comments.
1) Hes an idiot.
2) He has a completely different evaluation system of QBs than most people
3) Hes an over the top contrarian who is trying to create a buzz and get out from daddy's shadow.
