The Tom Brady Era Is Ending

Unfortunately this is a possibility that trading Bradys best offensive line for a future pick and a backup tight end infuriated him.
It's worth consideration that he is envious of Peyton's weapons that his thoughts to personal go by the way side.
That instead of a Davante Adams the Patriots draft Jimmy Grap.
The fact the Patriots might of taken Blake Bortles in the first is insane.
It shows the Patriots don't see Tom as the unquestioned face of the franchise.
That they are building a team away from Tom instead of around him?
Heres hoping Dobson and Thompkins are active and Tom throws for a nfl record Sunday evening.

I hate saying this but Tom Brady has not looked himself this season. I know his OL has been awful but when he gets time he isn't doing that well.

You have to be ruthless to be the best and if Jimmy Garoppolo ends up starting in the very near future then its a case of 'The King is dead, long live the new King' for me.

Tom wasn't like his normal self the other night right down to ignoring Jimmy after he had thrown the TD pass.

I don't know what the future holds but I'll be backing whoever is starting at QB next Sunday without question.

This talk of Brady suddenly being too old is ridiculous.

I understand, but am at the same time amazed, at the denial some folks have about Brady's decline. He's 37. This is when it's SUPPOSED to happen (if not earlier). I'll always appreciate what he's done, but he's no longer an above average QB.

For all of those who say he has no line and no weapons, I think an apt comparison is Jay Cutler in 2010. He was sacked 52 times, which I believe was a league record. His #1 receiver was Johnny Freaking Knox (900 yards). He had a below average TE (Olsen - 400 yards) and Michael Bennett was his #2 (561 yards). The only thing he had that Brady doesn't is Forte, who also had a sub par year (1,069 yards rushing). So, inferior QB (or so you'd think), worse weapons, weaker OL play, (worse scheme/coaching I'd imagine) and Cutler went on to throw for 3,274 yards, 23 TDs vs 16 INT's, and completed 60% of his passes. Brady won't be approaching those numbers, sad to say... AND, Brady is only on pace for 36 sacks. Granted, that's not the only data that is indicative of a team's protection skills, it's as close to apples to apples that we'll get here.

We've all seen the numbers from this year when Brady's had time to pass ( I think I saw them on SoSH... but he's 31st in the league). There's also been plenty of all 22 analysis that shows he's either not seeing WRs down field, or he's ignoring them. Why? Because he himself knows that he can't hit the guy running free 25 yards downfield, so he settles for the "safer" throw of 10-15 yards, even if the target is double covered. He's simply done as a down field passer.

There's no shame on Brady's part for getting older, and it's not a knee jerk reaction as a fan to realize he's no longer capable of winning a Super Bowl. Put him on the Broncos and there's no way he makes those throws to put the Seattle game into overtime, better weapons or not. The New Orleans game from last year will be remembered as his final moment of greatness, and I'm cool with that. What a run it's been, but man oh man, the denial... it's all right there in front of us. You've just got to trust your eyes.

I know you do, nancy ....... You obviously can't stop thinking about me
Your opinion doesn't count. Enjoy your time on the JVs where you you belong. It's just beautiful, Mr. Coffee! How'd the Jest do today? Oops...
