I just want the Lions to pull out a win

The Bills and Dolphins blow opportunities to to keep the heat on the Patriots in the division. They play each other next week to see who drops to .500 and out of the playoffs. Dorks.

If the Raiders DL lives up to its potential and Carr can sustain long drives, I could see the Raiders pulling a good old division game upset.

It could not have broke more beautifully for us. Bills lose. Dolphins lose. And Jets win (meaning Steelers lose) and thus pushing back their draft pick by a couple of slots. Hopefully Vick gets on a bit of a roll and they win a few so that they can draft around 8-10 instead of 2-4. Excellent!!!

And, as Heels pointed out above, the Bills and Fish play each other on Thursday, meaning one of them will lose again this week.

A beautiful Sunday indeed.

Jill's, LOLphins, Jesters, and Squeelers all LOSERS
Jesters once again trying to give up their opportunity to have a high draft pick to draft a QB. :)

Pretty good day so far in the NFL.............. Although the Broncos beating the UNBEATABLE Raiders will make them the SB favorites AGAIN for sure

Anybody have thoughts on who we should root for on Thursday night? Is it as simple as "Bills, because the Dolphins currently hold the head-to-head advantage over NE" or are there other compelling factors?

5-5 is not out of the playoffs. Ask the 2001 Pats.

I think it's that simple.
Yeah, sometimes the obvious answer is the correct one. The only slight hiccup in the thinking is that we still get them both at home and the Bills should be more able to handle the December weather in Foxboro. But I still think the simple is correct.

5 losses is out of the playoffs - ask the 2008 Patriots.

Really... are you familiar with the Super Bowl winning 2012 Ravens, 2011 Giants, 2010 Saints... I can go on...

yeah but just like in 08 this year its going to be a dogfight in both divisions. Arizona, Philidelphia, Detroit, Dallas, Seattle and Green Bay are all at 6-3 and they cant all make the playoffs. The NFC south is just going to be whoever wins 8 games.

Really. Whichever team loses next week's game will be third in the AFC East. That team 1) would have to run the table which means they must beat the Patriots at Gillette, and/or 2) somehow hope that the AFC East gets two wild cards since they'll be third in the Division. The AFC North will have something to say about that.

I'm sorry... my mistake. I thought you were saying that GENERALLY 5 losses will keep you out.

Back on topic... other than the fools gold of the 1st quarter of the Denver/Oakland game, yesterday really couldn't have gone better for the Pats.

No problem. After Buffalo's loss to Miami last night, they are still mathematically in the hunt. The Bills are 2-5 in the AFC and with losses to the Dolphins, Chiefs, Patriots, Chargers, and Texans, they have no tiebreakers.

To get a wild card, they pretty much have to run the table which means likely wins over Oakland and the Jets, but also unlikely wins at the Patriots, at the Broncos, and home wins over the Packers, and the Browns.

They're spoilers at this point. Good news for the Patriots is that yet again, the Bills will have their bags backed and plane reservations made to go home for the summer when they arrive at Gillette on December 28, 2014. It's nice to have a game like that if seeding in the AFC is on the line. Unfortunately, the Broncos' last game is at home against the Oakland Faders.
