This is essentially an employment contract issue when you break it down. So whatever internal mechanism might be in place to resolve the dispute, I don't think that will preclude Rice from making an application to the court following this if he feels the contract wasn't being followed.

But I could be wrong.

What is fascinating here is how two lawyers in the same meeting have different notes. In my experience, lawyers don't screw up on note-taking. What you say is what they document. How they contort what you say is a different matter altogether.
