Bring it haters.

We know this…. but we have a tough schedule.

We obviously would like to win out and get home field, and dominate Peyton again. But it doesn't always work out that way. Its a long season.

I had hopes that the Raiders and Chargers could get a win over Denver, the Chargers still have a chance, but the Raiders no way.

Hey, let's not just give an automatic L to the Raiders. They kept it within 7 points vs the Pats and kept it within 6 vs the Seahawks in Seattle.

I think this whole "The Pats have the tougher schedule" is a bit overrated.

I think Detriot is lucky to be where they are. Green Bay really hasn't beaten anyone and just got creamed by N'Orleans who has not played well this year. Indy can score points, but people can score points on them. San Diego is on a three game skid and other than Seattle haven't beaten even a mediocre team. The Pats have Miami at home, but so do Denver.

Denver still has to go into KC (which is hard for anyone), San Diego (so do the Pats), and Cincy in late December. They still have to go into St. Louis who have been surprisingly tough at home.

I would say the Pats have the tougher schedule, but not nearly as much as people think. I think Indy is tough and in Green Bay can be tough, but otherwise we are looking at a lot of teams based on perception rather than how they are playing.

Much as i hate to say it i think they are going to have to go through Denver to make it to the SB, unless someone can upset them before it and move it to NE. I think the Bronco's get the #1 seed and we will se how the rest shake out.

In the 13 times Peyton Manning has visited Foxboro, Mass his all-time record is 2-11 as a starting QB.

Assuming this is true, because the series is 11-5 Brady/Pats overall, that would mean that Brady/Pats are 0-3 on Peyton's home field.

Smaller sample size, granted, but does this mean that "Brady has NO Chance in Denver"??

I think not.

What you did last week, last year, 10 years ago doesn't mean didley. You play well, you have a chance. ANYWHERE.

Peyton played in Foxboro in 1999 and 2000.

Tom on the road in this series is 3-3.

Sagarin's computer analysis of schedules to date:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/nfl/sagarin/

Denver: #1
Pats: #21

From here on out though, it should come closer to evening out.

The thing is that this model doesn't take into account many variables. For example, the Broncos faced the 49ers without Patrick Willis and San Diego without both their starting CBs or KC losing Jamal Charles in the first quarter. So those teams were weakened because of injuries.

Denver has been lucky in that they have faced a lot of teams without some of their best players. The Pats have been far less lucky in that respect. The only big name I can think of is Adrian Peterson, but he has missed every game this season except for week 1. So his absence in that game still is on par with what the Vikes have had all year.

I think that stat pre-dates Brady. Manning played three (I think) seasons before Brady took over as the starter in New England. Plus there's a game versus Cassel in there in 2008. The 11-5 record is JUST Brady versus Manning, not Manning against the Pats.

long way to go. We had our chance last yr to seal homefield too and laid an egg in miami.

Regardless of who agrees with me, I still would much rather face someone else, and will be rooting for another team to knock Manning and the Broncos out of it.

We can be ****y, but let's not go overboard.

I think we can afford one more loss, since both teams should be staring another loss in the face one way or another.

Anything more than one loss and you may be right. We may end up having to go back there--and that will suck.

"Regardless of who agrees with me, I still would much rather face someone else..."

Jets fans think their team might be able to squeak in.

Well we know that isn't true, just from memory the Pats won at Indy in 2003 (Goal-Line stand) and 2007 (two undefeated teams)

I don't know, If the game is in Foxboro I would rather face Manning than a punk like Rivers or Big Ben throwing bombs all around. Manning step into the field of gillete stadium crapping his pants.

As long as we don't lose anymore key players to injuries, I like our chances regardless of where we play.
