Brady Mic'd up vs. Broncos

Him, Gronk and Edelman are tight. I just don't see that kind of relationship anywhere else in the league.

I love this team.

The writer said TB was joking about the weather, I think he was being serious.

Great stuff, where's the full version?

That's not a reasonable response. You made the claim "I just don't see that kind of relationship anywhere else in the league." That's a fairly bold claim.

From my casual observation, Brees and his receivers appear to have good to great relationships, Romo and Witten appear to have a good relationship and the Legion of Boom certainly present themselves as a tight unit.

If you want to see it, almost everyone unit somewhere will have video tapes like that.

Legion of Boom I can sort of see but it's diminished when they start claiming their quarterback "isn't black enough." As for the others, with the possible exception of Romo, I just don't see it.

Did you see how emotional and pissed off Gronk was about the media narrative of Brady's demise?

It's honestly pretty standard for people to come to this team and immediately say it's like nowhere else they've ever been.

I think calling the Patriot situation unique is a pretty fair statement and Brady's relationships with his closest teammates are amplified beyond others by virtue of his child-like Brett Favre'ish mentality towards the game.

I think you need to go to Raw Lewis' Ravens to find a team that looks as close knit as ours, and then from there it's just a matter of us having a much more enjoyable personality.

Please refrain from any comparison with the Ravens. Through the 2000's prior to Harbaugh, the Ravens alternating making and missing the playoffs for several years with Lewis on the team.....

That's your opinion and that's fine. I provided you a few examples within a few minutes to dispel the position that "I just don't see that kind of relationship anywhere else in the league". Those relationships may not meet the relationship Brady has with his players but they are of the same kind.

Did you see how emotional and pissed off Gronk was about the media narrative of Brady's demise?
Yes, I did. I also saw Terrell Owens break down on television with his famous "that's my Quarterback" commentary.

That's because the Patriots are the model organization of how a sporting franchise should be run both off and on the field. I do agree that this starts with leadership and Brady is a unique, on field leader.

Brady's relationship with his receivers is unique because he's their Quarterback.

The underlying point @PATS16N0 is that the Patriots ARE a unique situation but they're not the only situation.

Given our close proximity and mass consumption of media about our team, I would have to disagree. We simply don't have the sample size of info about the other teams because we don't follow them as closely or passionately. Having lived in Pittsburgh recently (2010-2012), that defense was as tight as any unit in football (up until it was dismantled a bit two years ago). There are other examples I'm sure.

Admitting it doesn't take away from the Brady-Gronk-Edelman triumvirate. It's merely a question of perception which is something everyone views differently. And uniqueness isn't the measuring stick, EVERY team relationship dynamic is unique. It's the depth and vocal nature of the relationship I think we're touting as ultra-strong.

Can never get enough of this stuff... while I thirst for this type of thing, we usually only get snippets.. even the post game locker room videos are only about 20 seconds... need more.

Long video here

Some takeways
1. I'd be jealous if I was Gisele watching that Brady-Edelman bromance blossom after that punt return

2. Josh paraphrasing "you're moving well and not making any bad plays. You know what I mean?" What else do you mean josh? Lol.

3. Best punt returner in the nfl.

4. Great throw. Great throw (by Peyton) they do respect each other a lot.

Unfortunately, the Patriots and the NFL actively curtail it. It's sad. How many fans post their their vids in Gillette stadium to youtube and have them deleted? There are hundreds of in-stadium vids of red Sox plays. Only one or two ever make it through for Patriots plays. The reason is the Pats and the NFL scour that.

I wonder what that job title is called. I could do that, sit in front of a computer and watch YouTube all day. Save those vids for my own private collection and delete the online ones. Seriously? I want this job!!!!!!

He looks like he's having more fun out there than ever. Gotta love how Brady comes alive for big games. He lives for competition, while most other QBs crumble under it.

I think you bring up an interesting point. Everyone....could be Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, BB, etc have periods in their careers and lives where they are either burnt out from the grind or are going through some kind of down cycle where the energy required to do the job at a high-level just might be more than they can muster. Even the great ones get complacent as well or even board. Something kick-starts them. New project, fear of failure, etc.

I have no proof but I do think that Brady heard what the media was saying after the KC game about being washed up (maybe BB probed his psyche as well...) and for whatever reason raised his energy level and is playing some of the best ball of his career.
