i am going with 2. if they play like this all year..1 more. Just need 2 more broncos losses as well

I think that we'll lose at least one more in the next 4 games (@IND, DET, @GB, @SD), possibly two more prior to the end of the season.

That's not too shabby of a place to be in, all things considered--especially if we go back to a month ago.

The 3 out of 4 stretch on the road vs top notch teams will certainly be challenging.

I think we can afford to lose ONE more and still get the #1 seed. If it's two more, we'll have to hope that DEN does the same.

I see Denver losing to Kansas City in Arrowhead in the very least, but that's 5 away games for them, and they had their bye after week #3. I think they'll lose more than 1.

I think they'll lose one more division game, as well as one of Green Bay / Indy / Detroit (my guess right now would be GB).

I have my fingers crossed for 14-2 because the Patriots win Super Bowls when they're 14-2. /stupid irrelevant reasoning

Just can't picture Green Bay's defense having any answer at all for us. I just can't see it, and think our defensive strengths match up favorably against Rodgers offense.

Not gonna touch those Nostradumbazz predictions. I'll take it one game at a time. I know it sounds Belichickian but right now we're goin into Indy and I luv our chances.

I think we go undefeated at home..so that's 10 wins right there..i think we win IN NY and win vs INdy..so that's 12

I could still see den pulling off 13-3 or 12-4...12-4 and us 12-4 and we get home field..all i want now

Hmmm...

Four games against teams from outside the Division with a combined record of 21--12, three on the Road.

Three Division Games, two at home against teams that are 10--6 and a third on the road against a team that will be playing its Super Bowl, Game Seven and World Cup Final all rolled into one day in the Meadowlands.

I could see them winning any one of those seven games or losing any one of them.

If the team that beat Denver last night shows up every week and if a few calls and breaks go their way and there are no more injuries (Mayo and Ridley were big injuries!), they win out.

If they have an off-week or two or run up against a team "on fire," get a couple of bad calls or breaks and another big injury, then I could see them losing two or three of those games.

As far as I can see, there is only one way to think about this (without going crazy), in the immortal words of BB: "We're moving on to Indianapolis."

Truthfully, I thought the team was better against the Bengals than the Broncos. That team played angry for 60 minutes.

You just HAD to remind me of 2010? Why?

Put me in the group that says we win out. Rivers may be having a probowl season, but the Chargers do not scare me. They've beaten nobody(The jury is still out on Seattle). Packers are a wild card...We've never faced Aaron Rodgers other than the 35-0 blowout in '06. The 2010 game was Matt Flynn.

We just sufficiently, and soundly defeated the SB favorites in all phases of the game. The road to glory now goes through Foxboro.

Pats run the table. Brady goes all Montana on the NFC team 55-10 style, 4th ring, many hater groups are silenced, balance is restored in New England. I'm calling it.

For one reason or another, could the planets align for a Tommy Kelly vs. Patriots Super Bowl? That would be an interesting story if it develops that way.

There's still plenty of football left against very good opposition. I think I'll try and keep it low key and focus on enjoying this team play football before I jump to conclusions. 6 weeks ago, I was wondering if the Patriots were good enough to win the AFC East. Right now, they look good enough to win it all. Strange thing, weekly reactions.

I say 1-2 more losses and #2 seed. But they are capable going into Denver and winning this year with this team at the moment.

Honestly, I am just along for the ride

I like the way you think. Eff all these Debbie Downer hating stat engulfed nerd driven outsiders. I'm with you. I called 17-2. Not backing off unless we loose, and we won't. Who owns the longest winning streak in history? That's right. Eff you haters. You got 2 weeks to SUCK IT! After that? Bow and hide from your own statements. I'll track them down.:)

I'm gonna say they lose to either SD or Detroit, and then they lose one of the three divisional games to end the year, to go 12-4. But I think the Donks will lose at least 2 more games, if not more, so the 1 seed is all ours.

Really? They might be a 10 win team by the time the pats play them. And Pats might only have 11 wins when that game happens.
Scared of the Bills coming to Foxboro for the last game of the year with playoff implications. Yeah. OK. And we're a 11 win team going in. OK. Where are the next 2 losses coming from?

I agree, SD looks SCARY as hell. And Detroit in OUR house. We never win at home.

Not saying they look really imposing, just saying it'll be a long road trip in Cali, second road game in a row, hotter than they're used to and Rivers is capable of playing really well. It could easily happen. They've been whipped by Colt McCoy for goodness sake.

I think SD are a pretty good team. I live in California and travel back to the east coast frequently to visit my family ... it really does mess you up. Whenever a team travels from the west to the east, they always seem to play awful. I also do think it's harder to go from West to East compared to East to West, don't write SD off, they will be tough to beat.
