In the off season I made a thread about Dynasty Swagger that was basically hated. I understand. We developed a collective syndrome as a fan base between the years of 2007 to 2013. I certainly shared it.

The `don't say anything!` syndrome.

Whatever. I still hope we dance on San Diego's logo lol.

Believe it or not, I was at one time a rather pompous Patriot homer, and carried my weight in making football season miserable for rival fan bases. I actually wouldn't be surprised if I played a minor role in the fact that NFL.com no longer has forums, and I wouldn't be the only Patriot fan to be able to say so.

We were brutal. That forum was too much for NFL's image. Patriot fans were just too much. Too ruthless. Too relentless. The place turned into a hate-chamber.

Different time, different level of dominance, skewed understanding of how difficult it is to win Superbowls.
Just made it look too easy.

The last seven seasons have had shockingly bad endings. The helmet catch, Brady's ACL, the Jet divisional round, injured Gronk, more Eli, injured Gronk, injured everybody.

2011 and 2012 really just made me stop having any expectations, and certainly made me stop talking about them. I was laughing at Denver fans who were crowing themselves Lombardi winners in week 8 last year. New to this whole winning thing, they just didn't get it.

Expectations. So adorable. So freaking adorable.

Well versed in the dangers of expectations, I'd say it's a compliment to the 2014 Patriot roster that I feel bold enough to have them again.

I understand that's too much for a lot of people still, and I can't fault them for it.

But if this team stays healthy, this is the one - this is #4.

Whatever complaints any of us might have had about any roster move, at any time, the Bill Belichick fruition of what we see on the field now has revealed itself to be a reload on a level comparable to 2007.

Welker, Mankins, Talib, Hernandez - all of this is now ancient history.

Our defense can get flagged all damn day, but have demonstrated numerous times now, against top caliber offenses, that it doesn't matter. You're not doing anything, just GTF home.

Meanwhile, this offense is more of the same, back to 2012 production levels but with an identity even more difficult to stop and contend with.

The 2014 New England Patriots are straight up Big Time. There is no other way to say it, and Tom Brady has everything he didn't have when he's got us there before.

Just as beautiful, the NFC looks wide open and weak this year.

I can't believe it, after so many smacks in the face, but after yesterday - after learning they are who we hoped they would be- I'm feeling ****y, and I have expectations, and I don't care.

The Patriot haters in the media should have never have come after us in the beginning of the season like they did. I'm not one for Bronco fan metaphysics football logic, but they helped make this happen.

By putting them in a corner, It forged a locker room full of Superstar individuals, many of them new to the Patriot uniform, into a single united front - a team. The fuel from the viciousness of that national and local onslaught helped sculpt who the Patriots are today, in all three phases of the game.

This team is keeping HFA, going to the Superbowl, and bringing it home.

This is our year.

Hate away.

Here here!!!

I had a gut feeling all week we were going to decimate Denver. And the train will roll on. We win out, HFA all the way to the Super bowl.
