Game Thoughts: The Pats beat the Broncos like a rented mule edition

I am not arrogant. I am attacking back to someone who attacked me first. Instead of debating me like a civil person, you attacked me. I tried to explain to you my position rationally and turned around and belittled it. You clearly are too0 slow for a rational debate. So I brought the level of conversation down to your level to try to make you understand. Clearly, even that is too advanced for you.
My God, you are as full of yourself as anyone could be.

For once I like our defense's ability to match up with the bye, but the concerns on offense are more important. Unless the Pats get their issues straightened out in a hurry they may not be able to put up enough points to win.

I think the bye is vastly overrated. It never seems show up for the game when it really counts.

Well, I don't think most Pats fans held Denver in the same regard that everyone else did coming into the game, merely because we are, through blind homerism (ironically), more objective about what to expect from Manning in big games.

Denver is still a damned good team, and I can foresee a 13-win season from them. There is a lot of work left to do because they are good enough to beat us in the playoffs in Denver. Apparently, BB still respects them, calling for a 2-point conversion after scoring a touchdown that put us up 43-21.

"if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, every day would be effing Christmas."

There is a cruder version I like to use in adult company, "If 'ifs' and 'buts' were liquor and sluts, everyday would be a Merry Christmas".

Every year for as long as I can remember Mannings teams are built up as some kind of unbeatable team. Each year barring 1 they collapse when its time to put up or shut up and then again the next year its all forgotten.

Pats fans witness it every year and every year we counter the manning ball-washing with the "He doesnt win the big game" line. We are attacked for being haters and jealous. Then when he loses the big game everyone comes to our side of the arguement only to suffer amnesia when the next season kicks off.

BTW, I am done arguing with Jackasson2. I made my point. I think most people understood what I mean (mayoclinic certainly did). if he can't, so be it. I am done derailing this thread.

LOL! I like that one better!

Jackasson 2. Aren't you clever and cute. Get under your skin a little did I? The last, desperate refuge of a loser is mocking someone's name. Well-done.

Excellent point.

I am curious about the run defense from this game. How have the Broncos been doing on the ground this year? Was the shut down of the Bronco's run game due to a big increase on the Pats' D, the Broncos not being that good this year, the Broncos going away from it because they were down early, or some combination of the three?

I still don't see the Broncos winning out. I think they lose to the Chiefs in KC and possibly the Bengals in Cincy.

Or chargers in SD or rams in st louis.

We can be the #2 seed and still host the AFCCG. I don't think Denver makes it that far. Their offense is still fantastic despite getting whooped today but they've already lost what, 4 starting linebackers or something like that?

TJ Ward and Rahim Moore cannot cover the deep 3rd of the field to save their lives and if you can nullify their pass rush today their corners can't cover forever.

The Bronco's aren't overrated as a whole, but their defense certainly is, IMO. Outstanding run D, usually great pass rush. But that isn't going to carry the team when the weather gets cold in Denver, especially if the wind starts blowing.

Their offense will not compete with the elements.

Their running game is worse than ours, however, take nothing away from our run D, they shut down Hillman early and allowed 25 yards until the Broncos added a few fantasy points to end the game.

Broncos fell behind early and gave up running after their first few attempts got nothing.

Their road offense is certainly overrated. In their three road games, they have scored 20 points vs. Seattle, 24 points vs. the Jets, and 21 points today. At home, they have scored less than 31 points once on offense (vs. the Chiefs).

Bronco fan here. Pats were the vastly superior team today in every area. No sugar coating it. Denver stunk because of what the Pats were able to do on both sides of the ball.

Congrats on a dominate performance, awell deserved win and best of luck the rest of the season.

Hoping the Broncos can make the necessary adjustments and finish strong. Maybe the second time around they will have some answers. Cheers!

Thanks for the courteous post.

Broncos have had an impressive first half to their season. No one doubts they are a top team. It's all about how you handle adversity, and now we'll have a chance to see their mettle, especially with 5 road games in their remaining 8. Good luck.

Why did Brady call you the Denver team name when he called out the mike? Did he switch the play with that or something?

"Denver Broncos! 54's the mike!"
