What do you think Brady's post-football career will be?

Nothing. He's pretty much going to just enjoy not working. He'll do some investing. Probably build another couple houses only to turn round and sell them. He'll make a few guest appearances each football season but mostly he'll be there for Gisele to hang onto for her media events. I highly doubt he is interested in going into politics.

All of the examples you cite are acting, which is not public speaking. Have you watched any his pressers? There are literally hundreds of them... His public speaking is quite good. It is his acting that sucks.

Of course I've seen his pressers. He is more comfortable with that type of speaking but even there he looks like he can't wait to leave. It is always a tortured segment where Brady deftly walks a tightrope hoping not to say anything that will blow up. He does it because it is required of him to play football, his true passion, not because he likes it. Its not as though he thought, "hey I should be an NFL QB so I can do press conferences!"

Being good at something and enjoying it are 2 very different things.

Honestly, this conversation is bordering on silly. You have you opinion, I have mine. Is it so wrong to just leave it at that?

I hope he trains another future Patriot first ballot hall of fame QB.

"I don't know. We will find out next year when he retires." Said half the analysts in the country about four weeks ago.

I expect him to just disappear completely. The truly great ones always disappear.

He's in a position to do whatever he wants to do.

1. Raise a family. He repeatedly says how important this is to him.

2. Part time, on demand consulting and workout analysis of QBs like his mentor did for him.
This keeps him connected to his love of football, but does not consume his life like coaching does. As to coaching, why would he work 12/7 for the majority of the year for a paltry million $ or so?

3. As mentioned, work with selected business like Staubach & Tarkenton, to "get a meeting" with desired prospects or investors for those whom he represents. Again not totally time consuming but could be interesting & broadening.

4. Continued part time work as spokesman for various brands. Lucrative part time work.

5. Play LOTS of golf, which he seems to like. OK, not as much as El Presidente but still a lot.

6. NOT politics. Why incur the distaste and enmity of nearly half the opposing populace?

I don't know that he's interested, bud if he wanted to be a senator from MA, all he'd have to do is show he knows the issues and he'd probably win in a landslide.

Well, for what it's worth, Brady's politics are, it seems, more conservative than most New Englanders'. And he is VERY serious about the Church.

Some TV spots & His Brady12 Sports/Physical Therapy

which great ones have disappeared other than maybe Montana? Most of these guys like being active. I think he'll do a lot of charity stuff, motivational stuff like he did at Michigan, promote business ventures like UA, Uggs, TB12 etc but I don't see him doing much TV.

I don't see another career for Brady, although he certainly could continue to be part of the patriot organization if he wants.

Perhaps starting a charity will appeal to the Brady's, perhaps not.

Permanent QB coach for patriots?

I really hope he doesn't enter politics. Politicians are the scum of the American people and I'd be disappointed to see the great Tom Brady lower himself to becoming one.

I don't care what party you like. Politics is for morally bankrupt beta-males. I'd rather see Peyton win another Superbowl than see Brady start a career in giving the public shallow speeches before a strategically placed backdrop of bobble heads smiling with approval. I'm pretty sure that would be vomit inducing.

If politics, may it not be as a Republican. If business, may it not be big business, or real estate. If charity, may it be something in which 90% of the donations go to a serious need.

He's hard to pin down in this way, tho, so methinks this is a good original thread.

I guess I kind of see him in the broadcast booth... but only because that's the most obvious.. and i have no clue at all really.

I'd imagine he will be a stay at home dad for several years and then maybe pick up coaching locally like Favre does or maybe becomes an NFL QB coach if he really loves football that much after retirement. He might also come out with a book or 2 and try motivational speaker.
