I thought it was a great trade off (Revis for Talib) too, but they wouldn't have made the move if they didn't lose Talib. I think we can all agree on that.

Talib was only coming back on Belichick's terms. Going down in two AFCCG's made that quite obvious.

If anybody thinks Brandon Lafell will have a game like Emanuel Sanders had last night is delusional, thats about a years work for Lafell.

Delusional?

In case you missed the game:

LaFell in the same week that Sanders "last night" refers to:

- 11 receptions (more than Sanders) on 11 targets (i.e., 100% catch-rate)
- 124 yards receiving (more than Sanders)

This thread is an epic study in fail.

Why, God, why is this thread still here?

I'm gonna laugh at the OP (crybaby) when we beat Denver this week. The sky might stop falling at that point.

I am praying you get to laugh you're ass off.
Conversely I will not get any joy seeing the Pats lose.Even if it helps me make my point.

Don't worry, I'm guessing that you'll have plenty of crow served up to you by those who have commented in this thread ;)

By the way, I applaud your comments above. Like I said before, I think we all share some of your concerns about the strength of that team, even if I disagree with the way it was brought about. That said, there's plenty of season left and our own team has come a long way lately.

wish we had Romodamus...:(

If memory serves correctly, Julius Thomas and Demaryius Thomas are still on their rookie deals. There's two high production, low cost contracts alone.

Both are free agents at the end of this year as well and they can only franchise one of them. Von Miller is also on his rookie deal and will be looking at one of those $100+ million dollar, 7-10 year deals is my guess.

The Broncos starting next year are going to be annihilated with their cap space, but they'll also have a lot of good talent on their roster.

The other thing that is mind boggling to me right now is the incredible luck that Denver has with injuries.. They have a ton of premium talent in their starting lineup, but they don't have a lot of quality depth and they haven't paid the price for that yet because they haven't sustained any injuries!

We're only half way through the season so I would be very surprised if Denver doesn't sustain at least 1 major injury in the next 8 games.

And the following FAs, among others:

- WR Demaryius Thomas
- WR Wes Welker
- TE Julius Thomas
- DE Terrance Knighton
- CB Chris Harris
- RT Orlando Franklin

I wouldn't mind stealing Terrance Knighton away from them in free agency!

As impressive as the win was on Sunday.
The Pats have had a much easier schedule competition wise than Denver.
Its just a fact.
I guess we'll see what the team is all about Sunday.

DL is a need for this team.....As long as it's improved coming into next season, I'll be happy..... I hope that we can construct a good pass rush to complement our secondary.

But as far as the FA goes for Denver, they'll have cap space, even after having resigned Thomas/Thomas. However, I don't think they're going to make any huge splashes like they made this offseason, unless a serious positional hole is exposed during the playoffs (someone suggested that they might sign Revis, which I highly doubt that they will seriously consider).
