Who has it better than Akeem Ayers?

Ryan Allen and Stephen Gostkowski aren't complaining, either. . . . :D

[OK, so Allen is complaining about Aiken's snaps, but that's about it. ;) ]

Do you think LaFell even remembers being a Panther?

The Bears left tackle when he rushed from that side. I was wondering who that tiny guy was that was rushing the passer and getting pancaked. I'll have to watch the game again but that's what I noticed of him.

Winning makes football fun. But it is also a lot of hard work but the rewards are also worth it

I read the new coach didn't give him a chance (wanted him to play more STs, even though he was playing STs - he was a former starter. So, if that's true, we got a hell of a deal on a guy who really wants to show something.

BTW - Any word on Alan Branch? Signed or what is the deal?

Wait a minute so he never signed? I thought he was signed just not activated for the first game.

Ayers has ALREADY proven his worth. He inherits a starting slot now, and becomes the #4 when Mayo returns next year.

I surmise that Branch must be horribly out of shape. He may need a couple of weeks before he can pass Belichick's entry qualifying competition exam.

That was always his M.O. But he does have talent...

Not signed at all. Was In For a workout but hasn't been signed

There's a thread on this mystery.

IMO - it is quite strange. it's not like teams are waiting in a line to sign him. Or, is the patriots second-guessing whether to sign him or not? Hopefully, we get some work sooner the better. He is is here, and fit, he may be able to help plug the RUN against denver.

Ayers was on the ground a lot in his first game, especially pass rushing. The tackle would put weight on his back and just push him to the ground, over and over.

To be fair this happens to even the best speed rushers sometimes but it seemed so frequent I wonder whether his repaired knees contributed to it. Patellar tendon supposedly you can permanently loose functional strength. Or maybe he was just rusty. But I don't see how he's proven anything yet. Could be another Sopoaga situation.

1 game in. Hopefully, he's rusty.

Alan isn't signed. He isn't even apart of the pats team

Considering the "price" was a 6th and that a 7th came back.... Ayers already worth it. The 6 vs 7 : both are such a crapshoot that it is almost irrelevant. Yet Ayers already contributed - even in the blow out it helps, since starters got to rest / didn't get hurt.

Best case scenario, he gets more shots and shows his worth. There was skill there a few years back : thus the high pick.

Our 6th round pick will be the 192th pick of the Draft.

Tampa Bay's 7th round pick will probably be 194th or 195th.
