Crowd noise at Gillette this Sunday vs Chicago Bears

Two years ago I was fortunate enough to have seats in the clubhouse during the AFCCG against Balt.
I thought I was at a night at the opera. It was like a preason game against AZ. or something. Talk about apathetic.

Its impossible to gauge crowd noise from the tv broadcast. Different networks have different audio feeds. Fox games ALWAYS sound louder than cbs games.
I get to one or 2 games a year and the crowd always sounds better live than on tv.

It's the year 2014. It's very easy to guage crowd noise via TV. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, for example, sounds the same on TV as it does in person.

Open letter for Kevin Collins (Patriots in-game entertainment thing, maybe scoreboard operator or something):

White text on a black screen: The team needs YOU.
Next screen: Crowd noise makes for false starts.
Next screen: Everywhere BUT here.
Next Screen: So will you start to DO YOUR JOB!!!

No.
Try this on a blank screen.

Peyton, time for another game killing PICK SIX???

on 2nd thought, why forewarn Peyton?

Has brady ever done what manning did the other night? Pretty much get made and start yelling and the crowd? I don[t think i have ever seen it...but this was the same guy who threw his OL under the bus in indy so i shouldn't be that surprised.

Old guys like Peyton often lose it and start yelling crazy stuff at people. Trust my experience on this.

I didn't hear about this. I heard his tirade against the scoreboard operator but didn't hear anything about this. Is there a video/link or did the papa johns secret police put a gag order on that?

I definitely appreciated the crowd noise today..

That was me (and my daughter!) We shouted our hearts out.

In fact, I was truly disappointed with the crowd. About a third or a quarter of the seats were empty all the way through -- more during the first quarter and the fourth. And, I've got to say, a LOT of Bears fans (compliments to a committed bunch).

Come on! A great day for football -- and a great performance. Don't people in New England appreciate their team?

I didn't think it was vey loud today. It was much louder at the Bengals game. And there were a ton of Bears fans.

Where I was tailgating, there was a sh!tload of Bears fans. They travel good.

But I thought the crowd was good today. They were very late to arrive at their seats. Great time though! A game I won't forget

I lost my voice but it still didn't seem loud inside

The crowd was very good today in the first half. After that, it didn't matter much.

everyone late arriving again? How hard is it to get to your seat 20 min early?

I was there an hour before kickoff. It got loud on the Bears first few possessions...then it got that kind of "I'm shocked!" vibe for a while and then it was more or less a laughfest. We were surrounded by Bears fans...THEY were pretty silent all game...guess the Bears crowd REALLY sucks, eh?
