The Patriots vs Bears POST Game Thread

I think I'd be nervous to be in the forest at the same time.

I would like to have gronk when I go hunting, bet that dude could haul a lot of meat out on one trip off the mountain.

People keep mentioning the run and how the Pats have to shore up the run defense.. But, I'll be honest. I'd rather have the Bears run the ball and make stops here and there, like the Pats did, than for them to pass more and the Pats give up some plays like they did at the end of the game. People need to remember that the Pats are without 2 of their best players in Chandler Jones and Jerod Mayo. And the Pats don't have an adequate LB who can take Mayo's place, even marginally.. The Pats were using 5 DBs much of the day, so I'd expect that..

The Refs all but stopped calling things against the Bears in the 2nd half. They ignored Bennett throwing down Browner and then tripping over Browner to make the catch in the end zone and called it DPI..

The Refs totally ignored the numerous holdings and illegal hands to the face by the Bears O-line.

Last I looked, throwing the ball at an opposing play was an Unsportsmanlike Conduct Penalty, but the Refs didn't call it on the Bears RB Carey who threw the ball at Collins while Carey was lying on his back.

Lafell is quietly becoming a WR who can cause problems for DBs. And Gronk is back to 100%. Needs to keep "drinking" :) but 100% he is.

Broncos going to need an answer for him and wright with Lafell having a very good year so far to my surprise.

Defense was excellent don't let the garbage time numbers fool you

This was a Great Solid win. Good play all around by everyone. I'm not overly concerned by the run defense. They pretty much shut it down in the first quarter and only let up when the game was out of hand in the third. The entire team had great energy especially with some new guys plugged in and some big playmakers missing. I can only hope that they play this well next week.

We have a shot against Denver. I just feel in my gut we are going to win.

LaFell probably read the TNF thread on this forum with regards to Sanders and said "I've had it with the MFing members on this MFing forum!" :p

Run defense + Siliga and Branch will be vastly improved. And another LB

Revis after being late and all of that BS the media put out came out and made a statement today for us fans and the team. Still one of the best in the biz and saying this is the best secondary he's been a part of? I would say he likes it here. He likes winning.

Where are the people now who said he's gone and ties between him and BB are severed?

And does anyone really miss AD at this point? Lafell is making me forget all about him.

I think it will make him come back stronger and give him motivation. But honestly we can't complain about the offense. It just works with these guys. With lafell beasting, it's gonna be hard to get on the field. But the thing is, we have AD and Lafell for the next 2 years at least. Those 2 are no slouches

What's the rifle for?

One interpretation to some of the inconsistent play we've seen from several players, over the past weeks, is that the flu has been going through this team. And it is a testament to the team that we barely hearing a thing about it.

It's nice to see major contributions from the new faces New England brought in this season. LaFell and Wright both look great and Ayers was more than reasonable for a guy making his Patriots debut.

Lastly, I feel embarrassed when I wondered if Brady's best days were behind him. If ever there was a person I wanted to make a play with my life on the line, it's TB12.
