@jeffphowe: Source: Chandler Jones' regular season in jeopardy, out a minimum of six weeks with hip injury http://t.co/JDhZQbu9Z6

@jeffphowe: Those around Chandler Jones have discussed possibly that his regular season is over. At best, it's a 6-week injury http://t.co/JDhZQbu9Z6

Hip injuries are especially problematic and hard to come back from. If he needs to shut it down for the season, so be it.

It sucks but not really surprised. I don't think I ever heard of a short term hip injury (i.e. a few weeks and back). I just hope he will be relatively healthy for playoffs.

Next man up, Hope Chandler is ready for the playoffs.

DE is a pressing need for this team, I wouldn't mind seeing BB draft at that position in the 1st Rd (provided a talented enough player is there).

Hope he makes it back for the playoffs. If we still had Mayo we could have rushed Hightower and Collins more. Hard now that we don't really depth at either LB or DE. Now I really hope that Ayers can play and atleast not be liability so we can rush our linebackers more.

things continue to get worse...we have nothing at DE now. just ninkovich
we should of went after ware/peppers/allen in the offseason. but at least we have some cap room next summer. belichick loves the flexibility..

This is a devastating injury. Chandler Jones was the only front seven DL that could consistently create pressure. Without him players like Ninkovich will not be nearly as effective.

We're going to be relying on a 6th round DII rookie for significant reps. So much for depth.

This sucks for our season and for him, bu itt might make him slightly more affordable in terms of contract extension.

I hope they can get him back to health until the playoffs.

Unbelievable, we just can't have one year without a devastating injury. I know injuries happen but damn. Well, at least we still have the 3 guys that I think we NEED in order to make it to the SB. Brady, Gronk, Revis. I will continue to hold out hope as long as those 3 are healthy.

Well, that sucks. Hopefully the report is wrong. Time to switch to a 4-3 and move Easley to DE and hope he lives up to his first round draft status soon.

Going from "about a month" to "minimum of 6 weeks" is quite a jump. Hopefully its closer to SMY's report, but our D needs help for the next few weeks.
