Number one...the dyamed red seats

Number two...the lack of field level, near field end zone seats. Dog Pound we ain't.

I've heard that those dog biscuits are slightly overrated anyways.

I'll be their Sunday!

But I disagree with the OP. Gillette is known to be quiet, but I thought in the 3 home games so far, that the stadium been loud. Fans have done their job.

The OAK game people were booing in the first Q....pretty pathetic

I was at both games, CIN & NYJ. CIN game was loudest non-playoff game. Jets noise was not bad, for Gillette. However, it depends on where you sit. CIN seat section was loud but when I was at the Jets game in section 110 as always the front row corporate pukes spent the entire 1st half away from their seats getting beer & food. I sit on the end so it's constant traffic in front of me as they file in and out. That said, as always, they never once cheered or clapped or anything the entire game. I find this beyond incredible.

Cincy game was very loud I agree...one of the loudest non playoff games

I, along with Philip Rivers, noticed that the acoustics of the stadium suddenly improved drastically when Ty Law was honored at halftime. Wonder what Kraft did during halftime to improve those acoustics to where the stadium sounded EXTREMELY loud during the half whereas it was flat out embarrassing during the game.

And, personally, I wouldn't mind someone clearing out the red seats with a flamethrower and watching the yuppies scatter like ****roaches. They're pretty clearly the problem, as evidenced by the Bengals game. The good news is that Krafty is putting a cool lounge in the south end zone. That should really help the crowd noise... or the acoustics. Whichever one it is.

NFL allows them to pump in sound during non-game activities.

I think it is now called "The Irsay Rule"

I thought the crowd sucked from my nosebleed seats on Thursday. I have a feeling it won't be too loud for Chicago but will be nuts for Denver, assuming it's a close game.

I can only go from what I heard over my TV. And as I said, I'm sure that there were quite a few there making noise. It looks like there are different opinions regrading noise at the Jets game.

I have sat in the "red seats" before and found them to be just as loud as the rest of the stadium. Maybe with the rain they had the option of going inside to watch the game last Thursday.

Regardless, the next 6 games are going to be tough and the team needs the support of the fans at the home games.

THAT'S the problem!!!

What the hell are they doing in groves????? Picking apples???????

Get yer arses to the STADIUM people!!!!!!

Was a big problem Thursday...idk if it was traffic or what but me and my buddy looked over and the gate was packed 10 min into game...longer

I think it will be decent for Chicago but I agree with you..overall at least my area wasn't very good. I still had no voice at end of night so it isn't me.

Denver will be nuts and if they jump out early..it will be great

Psssst... He's poking fun at your spelling error. The word you were going for is "droves" not "groves." :)

ehh they are close enough on the keyboard...good excuse right?!

Nah, they'd rather sit and sulk, then come here and grouse over how "majorly pathetic" or what a "dud" it was. Nothing like being part of the problem you complain about.

I did my part. The crowd was pathetic. Hopefully it's OK with you that I noticed.

NFL fans don't vary significantly from city to city. It's all about the building. Compared to other stadiums, Gillette is built like a saucer while others resemble teacups. If the Krafts deserve criticism for anything, it's the layout of their stadium -- open north end, "skylights," vaulted upper deck, awful club seat placement, extra-wide soccer field footprint -- poorly conceived all around.
Couldn't agree more I was Arrowhead 3 weeks ago and had nose bleed seats 5 rows from the top in the endzone and you seemed a lot closer than the upper deck in Gillette. The stadium is certainly more conducive to hold crowd noise.
The fan base are absolutely maniacs. I was there when they broke the noise record. At one point I thought I was going to levitate off the ground from the vibration of the noise.
Fans were absolutley great too. No problem whatsover took a little bit of ribbing but they were almost apologetic over it. Not like the animals on the east coast cities.

This, my friends, is how to do it.

For background for those who don't know about soccer, Roma had just lost at home to a foreign team (a German team for goodness sake!) by a margin that would be something like 49-7. And, instead of clearing out by the end of the third quarter, the fans stayed behind at the end of the game to sing to the team. (Roma, by the way, are owned by some New England guys.)

But I definitely agree about Foxboro. The stadium just doesn't hold noise. You've got as much chance of being heard on the field when you're up in the nosebleeds as you have of being heard by a passing plane on the way to Logan.

Still, it's the principle. If my beloved daughter and I have any voices left when we are on the plane out of Logan on Monday morning, we won't have done our duty.

EDIT: And booing the team for three-and-outs. For shame, for shame!

It never rained at all during the game. It was very warm and humid so I took off my raincoat and watched in my long sleeved shirt. Maybe the humidity was too much at Muffy's red seat and she went indoors to the Putnam lounge.

I did as well...yet we are the ones who were the problem because we complained about it on here according to Tunes

If you are going to a game..you should expect to stand up..cheer..and get loud. If not then maybe the couch is best suited for those people.
